SUPPORTERS OF THE NEW PROGRAM REJOICED AFTER PRESIDENT OBAMA SIGNED THE EXECUTIVE ORDER IN JUNE.
THE PEW HISPANIC CENTER SAYS UP TO ONE-POINT-SEVEN MILLION PEOPLE MAY QUALIFY.
For me this is, you know, really important because I actually have an order of deportation. And this is actually going to be lifted off so I get to stay here in my city that I love so much and my community.
There's this perception that it's just mostly Latinos who are undocumented but we have Asians, we have people from over the world, Africa, India, even some Europeans.
FOR SOME, THE FIRST STEP IS GETTING IDENTIFICATION.
THOUSANDS GATHERED AND FORMED LONG LINES IN HOUSTON TUESDAY -- TO GET I-D's AND PASSPORTS AT THE CONSULATES OF MEXICO AND EL SALVADOR.
I want to get a job. I want to be able to have kids and for them to live the dream everybody wants you know.
I have been here since I was a baby. This is my life. I can't even imagine having to start over in another country.
THE PRESIDENT'S ORDER INCLUDES SOME PROVISIONS OF THE CONTROVERSIAL DREAM ACT -- WHICH FAILED TO WIN ENOUGH REPUBLICAN SUPPORT TO GET CONGRESSIONAL APPROVAL.
REPUBLICANS REACTED TO THE ORDER WITH OUTRAGE, SAYING IT AMOUNTS TO AMNESTY AND OVERRIDES CONGRESSIONAL AUTHORITY.
IN JUNE, REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE MITT ROMNEY SAID THAT AS PRESIDENT, HE WOULD SEEK TO PROVIDE. QUOTE "CERTAINTY AND CLARITY FOR PEOPLE WHO COME INTO THIS COUNTRY THROUGH NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN BY VIRTUE OF THE ACTIONS OF THEIR PARENTS."

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
Our mornings will start off mostly sunny and dry with a typical summertime pattern in place through the rest of the week. Afternoon clouds will mix in with our sunshine today, with a few showers and storms developing along the seabreeze during peak heating. Most of the storm activity will be just to the east of I-75, however one or two of those could eventually make their way closer to the coast.
Temperatures will quickly climb into the lower to middle 90s, but it will feel much hotter as heat index values will be well over 100°, especially across our inland communities.
Tonight, skies will go mostly clear and it will be another humid overnight period as lows settle into the middle 70s.
Afternoon showers and storms will remain in the forecast with a slight up tick in the moisture by the end of the weekend and into next week. This will also keep temperatures slightly lower, as they top out in the lower 90s with increased cloud cover.
In the tropics, the remnants of what was tropical depression #7 continues to be a rainmaker across the Central America. Elsewhere, an area of disturbed weather 750 miles to the southeast of Bermuda is showing signs of better organization. Good news though, most of the models want to keep this system out in the open waters of the Atlantic.

"I buy and sell all the time."
MICHAEL RADDATZ TURNS TO WEBSITES LIKE E-BAY AND CRAIGSLIST WHEN HE WANTS TO GET RID OF SOMETHING OR HE'S LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO BUY.
"Ninety-nine percent of the people are honest and forth right. unfortunately the reason we're talking is there's several people out there that are trying to take advantage of people's good nature. I've been the attempted victim of two scams."
THE FIRST TIME. RADDATZ WAS TRYING TO SELL TEN SETS OF FRENCH DOOR LOCKS SIMILAR TO THESE.
HE POSTED HIS AD ON E-BAY. AND HE GOT A BITE.
"I'm contacted by a buyer who says they want all ten locks and they're going to send me a check."
RADDATZ WANTED 500-DOLLARS FOR THE LOCKS. BUT WHEN THE CHECK CAME. IT WAS MADE OUT FOR TWO-THOUSAND 980-DOLLARS. NEARLY SIX TIMES MORE THAN RADDATZ WAS ASKING.
"What he wanted me to do was to cash the check take the money out for the locks and shipment box all the material up and mail it to him along with the balance of the cash which he wanted me to wire back to him."
BUT RADDATZ WAS SUSPICIOUS. SO HE TOLD HIS BANK THE THOUGHT THE CHECK WAS A FAKE.
"And three days later it did come back as fraudulent."
"This is the kind of scheme that very smart people fall for. We get thousands of complaints about this every year."
CHARLES HARWOOD IS DEPUTY DIRECTOR FOR THE BUREAU OF CONSUMER PROTECTION AT THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION.
"It's very likely you will not be able to tell a counterfeit check from a real check when you see it nor will your bank be able to tell the counterfeit check from a real check."
IT CAN TAKE UP TO 4 WEEKS FOR A CHECK TO FULLY CLEAR, BUT LAW REQUIRES BANKS TO CREDIT YOU THE MONEY QUICKER.
AND THAT'S THE CATCH. IF YOU DEPOSIT A PHONY CHECK AND WIRE THE EXTRA BACK TO THE SENDER.
"When the bank discovers that that check is fake they're going to come back to you and insist that you make good on the money."

THAT'S WHEN THE C-O-P-D PATIENT STARTED TRYING TO YELL FOR HELP. TO HER NEIGHBORS THAT ARE ABOUT HALF A MILE AWAY. BUT IT SEEMED HOPELESS.
"a voice spoke to me and said, 'Martha no one is going to come, no one is going to help you.'"
SINCE SHE COULDN'T MOVE THE SIX HUNDRED POUND MOWER. SHE DECIDED TO USE THE HANDLE OF A BUCKET NEARBY TO DIG A TRENCH TO GET HER LEG OUT.
"I kept digging, digging, digging. Five hours I was there. Five hours."
NOW. SHE'S AT HOME RECOVERING WITH BRUISED ORGANS, A HIP BROKEN IN TWO PLACES, A CRUSHED ANKLE AND A BROKEN PELVIS.
BUT NOT A BROKEN FAITH IN THE LORD.
"i've had so many miracles in my life. This was the closest I've seen death in my face."

HEAD OF THE CENTER FOR OBESITY RESEARCH AT TEMPLE UNIVERSITY, DR. GARY FOSTER SAYS THE STUDY WHICH FOCUSED ON WOMEN 50 AND UP. IS GOOD ADVICE FOR ANYONE TRYING TO TRIM DOWN.
"Most of the guidance that consumers get is eat this don't eat that, i would argue most people know what to eat and what not to eat what they don't get as much help with is how, so these are very applied how tips."
