A few heavy downpours will be located deep inland late in the day, but we can't rule out a few of those migrating back to the coast around sunset. After the rain fades, skies will clear and lows will settle into the middle to upper 70s.

We're watching an area of disturbed weather in the Gulf, that has ties to Isaac. The National Hurricane Center is giving this a low to medium chance of development over the next 48 hours, however the window of opportunity for intensification is shrinking as it will be fighting some wind shear over the next day or two.

Over the weekend, the area of low pressure in the Gulf will link up with an approaching cold front and will throw some extra moisture in our direction with an increase in shower and storm activity by Sunday and into early next week.

This morning, the FBI is investigating whether this scene was all just a vicious prank POSSIBLY by a woman scorned.

It all began at 7:30 a.m. Thursday---at Philadelphia International Airport.

An ominous tip came into police. There was a male passenger at the airport

turn, right at the guy sitting next to me."

That guy, Christopher Shell was stunned.

Florida Fish and Wildlife officials got an earful of frustration at a

meeting Wednesday afternoon in Tampa. On hand were many veteran alligator

trappers, upset with the State's relatively new regulations for capturing

nuisance alligators.

Florida has a Statewide Nuisance Alligator Program, or SNAP, that helps

oversee the alligator trappers in the state.

The program, implemented a number of years ago, is now starting to hit home

with veteran gator trappers and those at today's meeting at the DoubleTree

hotel in Tampa were not double talking when the voiced their concern.

The main issues were twofold. The first being customer ratings. SNAP

requires 90% customer satisfaction which many of those at the meeting felt

was far too high. And in some cases following poor reviews, their gator

trapping areas have been reduced making it harder to make a living.

But FWC spokesman Harry Dutton would tell me most of the trappers, 87%, have

met the high standard they set and he would go on saying, "We're not going

to cut down anyone's workload unless they are not doing their job. And then

those new people who are coming on board are coming on board with a clear

understanding that their workload is never going to be high."

Which was another concern voiced by many trappers. The state now has close

to 116 trappers doing the job 40 used to do.

And the long-time veterans say, given the cost of doing business, equipment,

the price of gas, etc., when they are only paid $30 by the state for a

gator, and right now can't get a solid price for a gator hide because demand

The National Hurricane Center is giving this a low to medium chance of development over the next 48 hours, however the window of opportunity for intensification is shrinking as it will be fighting some wind shear over the next day or two.

Over the weekend, the area of low pressure in the Gulf will link up with an approaching cold front and will throw some extra moisture in our direction with an increase in shower and storm activity by Sunday and into early next week.

"Bed bugs are everywhere. All 50 states have them at this point," Phillip Cooper with Bed Bug Central said.

That's way the North American Bed Bug Summit is being held. It gives academics and people in the pest management industry a chance to share information about the invasive insects.

"Back in 2005, we didn't really understand the insect," Cooper said. "There wasn't a lot of research being done. Now, the research has dramatically improved."

So has the technology to detect and control infestations. FMC Professional Solutions is rolling out 'Verifi,' what they say is one of the first active detectors.

"If you want to control an infestation, it's best to detect it early," Catherine Bernard with FMC said. Las Vegas has the 13th-most bed bugs infestations in the country. Organizers of the summit say that's one of the reasons it's good to have the summit here.
