FIRST WEATHER
HIGHER RAIN CHANCES THIS WEEKEND
Pretty remarkable way to end the work week! Highs were in the lower 90s, and there was enough sunshine to make us believe we were still in summer. Apparently mother nature hasn't gotten the memo that fall started two weeks ago.
Yes you had to dodge a shower or two today, but by far the heavier and more widespread rains stayed to our north. That's where the deeper tropical moisture sits, and you guessed it - that moisture and the accompanying storms will be advancing in our direction this weekend.
Saturday and Sunday will not be gloomy, and it most certainly will not be a washout. We'll simply see a few more clouds to mix with the sun, and a slight increase in areal rain coverage.
Our mornings will start out dry. After daybreak we start warming up, and thanks to the heat combined with the sea breeze - we will see scattered storms each afternoon. If you plan to be outside, carry on with your schedule. Just be aware you may encounter some heavy rain at times.
Overall we'll only see heavy rain; however, one or two of these cells could become strong. What to expect with those? Powerful winds, excessive lightning, and a quick burst of rainfall. Rain totals could be up to 3 inches.

we're a little disappointed that now we have to take a step back in order to get thing ready for the golfers
A STEP BACK IN THE AMOUNT OF MORE THAN FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR REPAIRS.
AND THE DELAY COMES JUST AS SEASON BEGINS TO PICK UP.
we've seen quite a few people come back and we certainly don't want our course looking like that
GARD SAYS THE COURSE WILL STAY OPEN DURING REPAIRS AND HE DOES NOT BELIEVES FEES WILL GO UP BECAUSE OF THE DAMAGE.
BUT SOME REGULARS THINK THE INCIDENT COULD HURT THE COURSE'S IMAGE.
KEN KINASZCZUK, GOLFER: A lot of old people play here and it probably scares the hell out of them thinking someone will jump out at them or something
JULIAN: LCSO says they are not seeing a growing trend of incidents like this they say it's really just coincidence to have two courses vandalized in one week and they do not believe this Lehigh case and the San Carlos are connected in Lehigh Acres JJ NBC-2
