THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
HIGHER RAIN CHANCES THIS WEEKEND
Pretty remarkable way to end the work week! Highs were in the lower 90s, and there was enough sunshine to make us believe we were still in summer. Apparently mother nature hasn't gotten the memo that fall started two weeks ago.
Yes you had to dodge a shower or two today, but by far the heavier and more widespread rains stayed to our north. That's where the deeper tropical moisture sits, and you guessed it - that moisture and the accompanying storms will be advancing in our direction this weekend.
Saturday and Sunday will not be gloomy, and it most certainly will not be a washout. We'll simply see a few more clouds to mix with the sun, and a slight increase in areal rain coverage.
Our mornings will start out dry. After daybreak we start warming up, and thanks to the heat combined with the sea breeze - we will see scattered storms each afternoon. If you plan to be outside, carry on with your schedule. Just be aware you may encounter some heavy rain at times.
Overall we'll only see heavy rain; however, one or two of these cells could become strong. What to expect with those? Powerful winds, excessive lightning, and a quick burst of rainfall. Rain totals could be up to 3 inches.
Remember, lightning can travel many miles in advance of a storm. So when the thunder roars, go indoors!
We quickly see our sky conditions improve after Sunday. We'll keep partly sunny skies in the forecast for Monday and Tuesday with some late day storms. It'll seem like we're back in August by the end of next week. It'll be hot, completely sunny, but there will hardly be a drop of rain.
High pressure will dominate our weather late next weekend, and hot, rain free weather is pretty normal with high pressure systems.
Our temperatures will be above average during the next 7 days. Keep the water handy!
We're smooth sailing in the tropics. Not a thing to worry about!

HE SAYS TODAY'S NUMBERS DON'T REFLECT REAL STRUGGLES OF JOB SEEKERS.
TODAY IN VIRGINIA HE PROMISED BETTER TIMES FOR THE MIDDLE CLASS WITH AN EMPHASIS ON GOOD PAYING JOBS IF HE WINS THE WHITE HOUSE.
if you just dropped out of the work force, if you just give up and say look I can't go back to work I'm just going to stay home, if you just drop out all together why you're not longer part of the employment statistics so it looks like unemployment is getting better, but the truth is, if the same share of people were participating in the workforce today as on the day the president got elected, our unemployment rate would be around 11 percent.

Sot Michael
" it's warm."
A little different than normal.
Sot dr. Bruce neill, sanibel sea school
"the waters very brown in n Carlos bay and a lot of pine island sound and that is a mixture of water coming from lake o down the caloosahatchee river and a lot of this condition is our water int he fort myers area- it's called basin drainage."
That drainage- caused by excessive rain- brings fertilizers with it.
Combine that with warm weather-
Sot Bruce
" conditions all collide to be able to support red tide outbreaks very well in the early fall."
So what is red tide?
Sot Bruce
"the organism that creates red tides is a microscopic platonic creature and inside it's body it creates these little chemicals called breva toxins and to animals that have backbones it is a neuro toxin"
Fish are usually the first victims.
When they wash ashore- birds and other animals eat them and can become sick.
The effect is not as bad for humans-
Sot Bruce
" the st common ailment for people is that it irritates the back of our throat gives us respiratory challenges."
