DEBATE WRAP-TRX SOT TOPS 2 SHOT

BIDEN: This is a bunch of stuff. Look, here's the deal.

21:19:27 RADDATZ: What does that mean, a bunch of stuff?

BIDEN: Well, it means it's simply inaccurate.

RYAN: It's Irish.

BIDEN: It -- it is.

21:19:34 BIDEN: We Irish call it malarkey.

RADDATZ: Thanks for the translation.

WAS VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN TOO DOMINANT IN LAST NIGHT'S DEBATE WITH PAUL RYAN?

THE TWO HAD A CONTENTIOUS DEBATE.

AND NOW REPUBLICANS ARE CRYING FOUL.

JOHN KARL SHOWS US THE HIGHLIGHTS. Return to index of stories...

DEBATE WRAP-PKG

This one got personal -

21:52:12 RYAN: Jack Kennedy lowered tax rates, increased growth. Ronald

Reagan.

21:52:14 BIDEN: Oh, now you're Jack Kennedy?

Barb after barb -

21;39;03;03 RYAN: I know you are under a lot of duress to make up for

lost ground. --- Biden laughs--- But I think people will be better served if

we don't keep interrupting each other.

BIDEN: Well don't take all the 4 minutes then.

Biden was often dominant - maybe a little too dominant

Republicans claimed he interrupted Ryan 82 times often breaking out in

laughter -- even when Ryan was talking about Iranian Nukes

NATS laughter

Biden was even all smiles as he accused Ryan of, basically not telling the

truth.

They disagreed on virtually everything from Syria to Medicare-

BIDEN: Now they got a new plan: "Trust me, it's not going to cost you

anymore." Folks, follow your instincts on this one.

/

21:38:31 RYAN: They got caught with their hands in the cookie jar, turning

Medicare into a piggybank for Obamacare.

ABC's Martha Raddatz, pressed both OF them, challenging Biden to explain the

White House's shifting stories on the attack that killed the US ambassador

to Libya:

RADDATZ: When people in the consulate first saw armed men attacking with

guns, there were no protesters. Why did that go on ?

21;10;09 BIDEN: Because that was exactly what we were told by the

intelligence community. The intelligence community told us that. As they

learned more facts about exactly what happened, they changed their

assessment.

/21;0717 RYAN: It's indicative of a broader problem. And that is what we

are watching on our TV screens is the unraveling of the Obama foreign policy

, which is making the more chaotic us less safe.

Score one for Ryan there but when Ryan slammed the administration's 800

billion stimulus bill, Biden was ready with this:

he sent me two letters saying, "By the way, can you send me some stimulus

money for companies here in the state of Wisconsin?" We sent millions of

dollars. You know.

RADDATZ: You did ask for stimulus money, correct?

BIDEN: Sure he did. By the way.

21:32:26 RYAN: On two occasions we -- we -- we advocated for constituents

who were applying for grants. That's what we do. We do that for all

constituents who are.

BIDEN: I love that. I love that. This was such a bad program and he writes

me a letter saying -- writes the Department of Energy a letter saying, "The

reason we need this stimulus, it will create growth and jobs." His words.

Unlike the President, Biden slammed Ryan over Romney infamous comments about

the 47 percent of Americans who don't pay income taxes Ryan turned it back

on Biden --

THINGS DON'T COME OUT RIGHT

RYAN

21:28:45 I think the Vice President very well knows sometimes the words don'

t come out of your mouth the right way! Return to index of stories...

"They don't get it, you tell them to stop and they just stare at you. They just keep going in the street, regardless of me being out here, it doesn't make a difference. You can tell them stop, stop, stop, they're kids."

THE SIGN SAYS " WARNING, IF YOU HIT MY KID, YOU WILL BE SHOT."

"It's straight up. I love it."

OTHER NEIGHBORS SAY THE ISSUES OF SPEEDERS HAS PLAGUED THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD FOR QUITE SOME TIME AND ARE GLAD THAT SOMEONE SPOKE OUT.

"I think if you are a parent, that this is something you feel you have to do for your kids. I don't have any problems with it."

"Well, people speeding down residential streets, that's nothing new. But, a father willing to go to great lengths to protect his children to warning speeders of the possible consequences, well, that's something you don't see everyday."

"Whether they slow down to read my sign, take offense to it, take it as a threat, I don't know what else to do just slow down."

WEATHER-WX WALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

"Breezy sunshine, rain free"

Yesterday's official reading at Page Field was 69°. This marked the first time that temperatures dipped into the 60s since the middle of May.

Our hint of Autumn weather will continue once again this morning, as temperatures will be a few points lower. Along the urban corridor, expect a refreshing start to the day as numbers hover in the upper 60s, with a few middle 60s on the thermometer across our inland and northern cool spots.

Friday will dawn bright and sunny with the dry weather pattern prevailing as we round out the work week. Breezes will be out of the northeast between 10-15 mph with higher gusts and that will keep the slightly drier air pouring into Southwest Florida. Highs will eventually warm quickly into the upper 80s, however with lower humidity levels, our afternoon will feel quite comfy.

A few fair weather clouds will dot the sky late in the day, however with a dry and stable atmosphere rain prospects remain slim to none. Mostly clear skies along with lighter winds, will translate into another cool night as overnight lows range from the mid to upper 60s by morning.

A quiet weather pattern will stay in place through the weekend, with a few more clouds pushing in as an easterly flow develops by Sunday. This will bring an influx of some moisture across the Peninsula resulting in the chance for an afternoon stray/isolated shower. Otherwise much of next week, looks mainly dry and warm with highs in the upper 80s to near 90°.

In the tropics, Tropical Storm Patty evolved yesterday morning and will be no threat to Southwest Florida. This will be a short lived system as it gets entangled with some drier air and some strong upper level wind shear. Another disturbance nearing the Lesser Antilles seems to be a bit more organized this morning, however most of the forecast models suggest that this will turn to the north and not be a concern for the US mainland.
