THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
Everybody enjoyed another sunny, rain free day in Southwest Florida Friday. The humidity stayed comfortable and the breeze added tot he comfort factor.
Outdoor plans for Saturday will not be canceled due to rain, as we have another day without rain in the forecast. High Pressure over the Appalachian Mountain chance will drift just a little closer to Tropical Storm Patty in the Atlantic.
These two features getting a little closer together means a breezier day for Southwest Florida on Saturday. Expect a mostly to partly sunny day with easterly wind gusts to 30 MPH or better. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 80s.
By Sunday, this easterly wind will increase our humidity a little, and a few showers may ride the breeze during the afternoon into Southwest Florida.
Expect 20% of the area to get wet. These will be quick moving, short-lived little showers that shouldn't hamper outdoor activities too much. Afternoon highs will again be in the upper 80s.
Monday will also have a few showers pushing into Southwest Florida, but more dry air will move in by Tuesday, squashing the rain chance once again.
