Day Planner
THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
After seeing clear, radiant skies Tuesday and absolutely no rain, our Wednesday forecast will feature some changes.
The first change we'll notice is with cloud cover. We're tracking a large area of clouds in the northern Gulf of Mexico this morning, and a large portion of this cloud shield will be aimed at the Florida peninsula. Even though we'll start the day with a fair amount of sunshine, we expect our sky to cloud up considerably as the day goes along. By midday, most spots will only be treated to partial sunshine as clouds continue to fill in from the west.
The next side effect we'll notice from this increasing moisture is a better chance of rain. Rain won't be incredibly widespread today, but showers will develop in scattered fashion during the afternoon. With the steering flow predominantly out of the west, the bulk of today's showers will be focused inland. However, that's not to say we can't get a little rain close to the coast as well.
With all the cloud cover that's expected to fill our sky later in the day, temperatures will struggle to warm much past the middle 80s. In fact, most places should see high temperatures around 84-85 during the afternoon.
The rain that develops during the afternoon and evening will gradually fade through tonight, but clouds should linger a bit longer. By Thursday morning, sunshine will return to Southwest Florida, and it should be here to stay for several days.
Thursday and Friday will be pleasant, sunny days with highs in the upper 80s and early morning lows near 70. We may very well have enough moisture in place both days to squeeze out a couple isolated showers, but these should primarily be inland.
The upcoming weekend is looking fairly sunny quiet with the exception of an isolated shower or storm Saturday. Sunday will likely be drier with highs in the mid to upper 80s.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA
