The fitzgerald family wants justice against a doctor they say is responsible for their mothers death.
Daughter
40:55 I wish my mother never met you she trusted you, I wish she never met you 05
69-year-old domenica fitzgerald was suffering from nerve damage caused by cancer chemotherapy-- she hoped stem cell therapy performed by bonita springs doctor zannos grekos would help.
In 2010 Grekos took bone marrow from fitzgeralds pelvis and infused the stem cells into her brain. She later died.
39:01 I'd also like a criminal case brought against him for basically, I believe, murder 08
Grekos is now fighting for his medical license in court.
A medical expert testifying against doctor grekos says the stem cell treatment grekos used on fitzgerald could have never worked-- and without a doubt put her life at risk.
Dr. Roy ambinder, stem cell expert
"57:30 I wouldn't have given this to my dog let alone another human being 34"
Dr roy ambinder says grekos violated all moral and ethical standards.
52:37 she actually signed a consent form to get stem cells but that's not what she got 42 she got a conglomeration of bone marrow particles 45 the consent form itself is misleading therefore the patient really didn't know what she was being treated with 56
The defense fired back with patients and medical experts who say the treatment works and isn't entirely experimental-- they say it was a justified approach as a last resort for a desperate fitzgerald.
Dr. Jeff colino, neurologist
"There were no conventional treatment options left."
They say fitzgerald signed an informed consent form and knew the risks.
The fitzgeralds say there's no way their mother would have agreded to a procedure that would kill her. They want grekos lisence revoked.

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
NICE WEEKEND AHEAD
A weak front is still working down the Florida peninsula tonight and we will see partly cloudy and humid weather this evening. Chance for rain tonight is very low - but not zero. There could be a very isolated shower pop up after sunset. Most of the area will be pretty quiet tonight as temperatures drop slowly into the upper 70's. Tomorrow morning we will wake up to the lower 70's and a few clouds to start Saturday.
The weather by Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday will be mostly sunny and we will notice a drop in humidity. In fact, it should feel really nice both days with highs in the mid 80's. Overnight low temperatures will be very cool and comfortable by Sunday morning as you wake up to a nice 65 degree weather.
Mainly dry weather and cool mornings will continue next week on Monday and Tuesday. By the middle of next week we will start to see some periods of clouds and possibly a few showers drifting in from the east by Thursday.
Enjoy a nice weekend!
