IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
It's going to be another cool and crisp start across Southwest Florida with temperatures starting as low as the 40s across our inland communities and mid 50s through the urban corridor.
Temperatures will struggle to warm much past 70 this afternoon as a stiff, cool breeze continues from the north. Winds won't be quite as strong as yesterday, but we could easily see some gusts up to 20 mph.
Our sky will stay sunny and blue for most of the day as rain chances stay incredibly low with so much dry air in place.
Temperatures tonight will still be cool, but we don't expect to get quite as chilly as last night. Look for temperatures to dip into the low 50s inland and upper 50s to low 60s across the urban corridor.
Wednesday will be another dandy, but we'll likely have a few more patchy clouds around as our winds come off the Gulf. Daytime temperatures will rebound a little with highs expected to reach the upper 70s.
A weak cool front will slide through the area late Thursday, which could generate some isolated light showers along with some more cloud clover. Our rain chance, however, will only be around 30%.
Thursday's front should give us a nice reinforcing shot of cool, dry air, which will set things up perfectly for Friday and the upcoming weekend.
Pleasant, sunny days and cool nights will be in the cards for us from Friday through Sunday with highs comfortably in the low 80s and lows near 60.

WE'RE GETTING OUR FIRST LOOK FROM THE LEE COUNTY CLERK ABOUT *WHAT WAS GOING ON INSIDE MEDSTAR.BEFORE THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL HELICOPTER WAS ABRUPTLY GROUNDED.
ACCORDING TO A DRAFT AUDIT JUST RELEASED.THE PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT HAD CORE MANAGEMENT ISSUES THAT ULTIMATELY LEAD TO THE SHUTDOWN OF THE MEDSTAR PROGRAM.
DIRECTOR JOHN WILSON WAS DESCRIBED AS "HANDS OFF" WHEN IT CAME TO THE FLIGHT PROGRAM.
THE AUDIT FOUND THERE WAS INFIGHTING AMONG THE SENIOR MANAGERS THAT REACHED THE ENTIRE ORGANIZATION.
ONE OF THE BIGGEST PROBLEMS WAS A "SILO MENTALITY" -- WHERE DEPARTMENTS WOULD NOT SHARE INFORMATION WITH EACH OTHER.
THE AUDIT SAYS THAT REDUCED THE EFFICIENCY OF THE OPERATION, CUT MORALE, AND CONTRIBUTED TO THE DEMISE OF COMPANY CULTURE.
THE AUDIT ALSO POINTS OUT ISSUES TO NEED BE RESOLVED BEFORE RE-IMPLEMENTING ANY HELICOPTER AMBULANCE SERVICE.

WORKERS ARE PUTTING THE FINISHING TOUCHES ON SAN DIEGO'S NEXT WALMART. BUT THIS STORE IS DIFFERENT THAN ALL THE REST.
"This isn't a regular walmart, no sir, this is a new format to San Diego, it's a grocery store."
A TRADITIONAL GROCERY STORE WITH THE WALMART NAME OUT FRONT. SINCE JULY, WALMART HAS OPENED 14 GROCERY STORES IN CALIFORNIA.
"So I don't care what segment of the market you're in, you have to be nervous these days because Walmart could be your future competitor."
IN FACT SOME OF THE MAJOR GROCERY STORE CHAINS HAVE RECENTLY ANNOUNCED CUTBACKS AND STORE CLOSINGS. BUT WITH WALMART'S BUYING POWER AND NON-UNION WORKFORCE. THEY FIGURE IT'S A GOOD TIME TO ENTER THE COMPETITION.
"Customers are looking for convenient, affordable options for groceries and the neighborhood market format offers them exactly that."
THIS FORMER CIRCUIT CITY IS NOW 39-THOUSAND SQUARE FEET OF PRODUCE, FROZEN FOODS, MEAT AND A PHARMACY. PRETTY MUCH A TRADITIONAL GROCERY STORE EMPLOYING 65 PEOPLE. BUT CAN THEY COMPETE WITH THE TRADITIONAL MARKETS?
"If they happen to see a competitor have a lower price on an item, we will match it at the register, hassle free."
"So you have the big box sam's club, you have the traditional walmarts and now you have the grocery stores. Where does walmart go from here? Well in some parts of the country, they are experimenting with their own convenience stores."
"When they're looking to grow, they're looking at all possible growth paths."
AND THERE ARE MORE WALMART GROCERY STORES COMING IN THE COMING MONTHS. MORE CHOICE FOR SHOPPERS, MORE COMPETITION TO GET A PIECE OF THE FAMILY FOOD BUDGET.
"This will be tough on some of the existing chains."
