THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
"A SPOOK-tacular Halloween night"
After morning lows bottomed out in the middle 50s, temperatures have rebounded nicely today into the middle and upper 70s. This coupled with low humidity and a light breeze out of the northwest have made for another pleasant afternoon across our part of the state with mostly sunny skies.
As we head into the evening hours, our skies will stay mostly clear with mainly dry conditions. Temperatures will begin to drop into the upper 60s around sunset, so as your ghosts and goblins are getting ready to head out for some treats there will be a very slight chill in the air. Overnight, temperatures won't be quite as cool as most locations along the coast and urban corridor will drop into the upper 50s to near 60° with spots deeper inland falling into the middle 50s.
A weak cold front will sag down the peninsula on Thursday keeping a mix of sun and clouds in the forecast with a slight chance for a few spotty showers during the afternoon and early evening. Temperatures will continue to run in the upper 70s to near 80°. While this front, won't bring another dose of colder air, it will reinforce the pleasant weather we've already been seeing.
As we head into Friday and the weekend, dry high pressure will clear things out and provide us with plenty of sunshine to fill our skies, along with a dry weather pattern that will hold across Southwest Florida. Expect temperatures to fall into the upper 50s to low 60s during the mornings with highs in the lower 80s during the afternoons.

SO YOU SHOULD ADD A MICRO-NUTRIENT TEST TO SEE WHAT VITAMINS AND MINERALS YOUR BODY IS ABSORBING.
"You can assume at 30 you are looking at preventing aging at 40 you start repairing what aging has occurred."
A DECADE LATER AND IT IS TIME TO KICK IT UP A NOTCH.
"It takes a lot more to make the 40's work."

ALSO - LOOK AT VITAMIN D. THE BODY DOESN'T COLLECT IT AS WELL AFTER 40.

10 MORE YEARS AND THE SAME TESTS APPLY BUT NOW ADD HEARING AND COLON CHECKS ALONG WITH SCREENINGS FOR BLADDER AND PROSTATE CANCER. AND IT IS TIME TO CHECK THE METABOLISM.

This is mica elmany marcus and he was born 12:42 am
ALMOST FIVE HOURS AFTER HURRICANE SANDY HIT LAND, MICAH MARCUS WAS BORN. BUT IT WAS A LABOR OF LOVE TO BRING HIM INTO THE WORLD.
7:10:48 it was more crazy than we could possibly imagine
JULIA ALMANY WAS HAVING CONTRACTIONS AT NEW YORK UNIVERSITY'S LANGONE MEDICAL CENTER. WHEN THE POWER WENT OUT AND THE BACK-UP GENERATOR FAILED. HER HUSBAND DORON WAS GETTING SOMETHING TO EAT.
07:02:45 D: I walk into the cafeteria, and it's full on blackout.
DORON COULDN'T SEE THE STORM, BUT HE COULD HEAR IT.
The hurricane was battering the hospital. D: I heard this crazy rushing of water sound. 07:03:20 D:It was coming off FDR into first avenue and into the hospital, the basement was flooded, the ground floor was flooded at that point.
BACK IN THE DELIVERY ROOM, JULIA WAS HAVING POWERFUL CONTRACTIONS.
07:04:31 J: they were like 30 seconds apart, it started being like really painful,
07:05:01 D: I was like this- this is insane. This couldn't get any worse/.
DORON STEPPED IN AND HELPED DOCTORS GIVE HIS WIFE AN EPIDURAL IN THE DARK.
7:06:07 i was holding a cellphone above her while they were putting in the iv and putting in the epidural.
WITH NO POWER TO SAFELY DELIVER THE BABY, THE HOSPITAL EVACUATED JULIA AND THE OTHER PATIENTS
07:07:28 D: They took her off the bed, got her on this med sled and proceeded to slide her really slowly down eight flights of stairs.
07:07:45 D: There was a lot of screaming going on. there were um - about six people with newborns, like there would be a group of six people with oxygen tanks and other medical attachments to this baby trying to get by us, trying to get down more quickly than us.
AFTER 20 MINUTES, THEY REACHED THE GROUND FLOOR AND RUSHED TO MT. SINAI HOSPITAL.. BUT THE ROADS WERE DANGEROUS.
07:09:58 D: we're driving up third avenue, I hear a loud bang on top of the - on top of the ambulance/ once we got to the hospital, we found out that a tree - a tree branch or something had fallen right on the ambulance as we were driving up third avenue.
THE COUPLE MADE IT JUST IN TIME. WITHIN MINUTES, MICAH WAS BORN, ARRIVING INTO THE WORLD AS THE CALM AFTER THE STORM.
7:11:20 J: I've never been in so much pain as you know throughout all this hours, and then as soon as he was born, you know, you just forget.

EACH YEAR ON HALLOWEEN WE CELEBRATE BY CARVING PUMPKINS AND DRESSING UP IN COSTUMES.

HALLOWEEN WHEN KAREN GILBERT WAS A LITTLE GIRL.
"And one of us was dressed like a pumpkin."
.MIGHT HAVE LOOKED SOMETHING LIKE THIS.
AN ON-LINE PHOTO.SHOWING A LITTLE GIRL IN A FELT COSTUME.LOOKING LIKE."A PUMPKIN."
BUT HERE'S WHAT SOME PUMPKIN OUTFITS -- MARKETED TOWARD VERY YOUNG GIRLS -- LOOK LIKE TODAY.
"Children don't need to be sexy. They need to be cute and fun."
"I think Halloween has become, very much, a "gender display ritual.""
SOCIOLOGIST LISA WADE AT OCCIDENTAL COLLEGE CALLS IT A "DISTURBING" TREND.
ONE WHERE HALLOWEEN HAS BECOME LIKE THE JUNIOR PROM.OR OTHER RITES OF PASSAGE IN A YOUNG WOMAN'S LIFE.
EXCEPT THE PACKAGES -- AND THE WEBSITES AND STORES -- OFTEN AIM THEM TOWARD PRE-ADOLESCENTS.
"The message young women and girls are getting is: 'You can be anything you want, as long as you're hot.'"
AND SHE'S NOT ALONE.
BLOGS AND TWEETS HAVE BEEN HEATING UP IN THE LAST FEW WEEKS.WITH PARENTS LAMENTING THE TREND.
ONE TODDLER'S MOTHER EVEN ASSEMBLED A SLIDE SHOW:
- COWGIRL COSTUME A FEW YEARS AGO.COWGIRL NOW.
- CAVE GIRL A DECADE AGO.CAVE GIRL NOW.
- EVEN A SILLY CLOWN OUTFIT.NOW HAS A SEXY SISTER.
WADE SAYS THE REASON ADULT HALLOWEEN COSTUMES STARTED GOING "SEXY" TO BEGIN WITH, IS BECAUSE THE LINES BETWEEN FEMININITY AND YOUTH.HAVE BECOME BLURRED.
"We expect adult women to be childish, in a sense, and young girls to be "adult-like.""
"I think it's bad."
PARENT CRUZ ROQUE TOLD US.IF HIS DAUGHTER, RISA, WANTED TO WEAR ONE OF THOSE COSTUMES, HE'D PUT HIS FOOT DOWN.
"I tell her 'no.' I prefer costumes for children."
WADE SAYS ONE SOLUTION IS: PARENTS COULD BUY THEIR GIRLS OUTFITS MARKETED TOWARD BOYS INSTEAD.
THE HARD PART THERE.ADMITTEDLY, IS CONVINCING YOUR DAUGHTER IT'S "FOR HER OWN GOOD."

"If you miss the signs and your kid's operating with a concussion that can be very dangerous."
"Oh definitely there's something called second impact syndrome and a lot of children actually end up in wheel chairs or actually die due to second impact syndrome and what that is is when a concussion is not seen and then they send them back into play, get another hit in the head, and you know."
IN WORSE CASE SCENARIO - IT COULD BE FATAL.
