Today's Weather Story
THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
Another delightful, refreshing day is on the way for Southwest Florida.
After a cool morning with temperatures in the mid to low 50s, we'll warm nicely through the day with highs expected to climb into the upper 70s.
A northwesterly flow will bring in several patchy clouds from the Gulf, so sunshine won't be quite as prevalent as yesterday. Still, today should at least be partly sunny, but there will be times when we have more clouds than sun.
Our winds will relax a little more today, but the breeze will remain stiff with gusts getting up to 20 mph.
As we head into the evening and early tonight, if you have any outdoor Halloween plans, the forecast looks great. Temperatures will be falling into the low 70s and upper 60s around sunset, and we expect a dry evening with a partly cloudy sky. For the remainder of the night, temperatures will bottom out in the low 60s with some 50s deeper inland.
Thursday looks to be another partly sunny day, and we may see even more clouds developing during the afternoon as a weak cool front slides in from the north. Along with the slight uptick in cloud cover, some isolated light rain will be possible during the afternoon and evening, but our rain chance will only be around 20%.
From Friday through the upcoming weekend, our weather continues to look very pleasant. We'll enjoy plenty of sunshine, and our temperatures will be comfortably in the upper 70s and low 80s each afternoon. Overnight lows will be cool with temperatures dipping into the low 60s and upper 50s.
Enjoy, and don't forget to set the clocks back an hour Saturday night!

Full Forecast
