SCRIPT:
THE NATION'S LARGEST PUBLIC TRANSIT SYSTEM WILL BEGIN ROLLING AGAIN THIS
MORNING, BUT WITH LIMITED SERVICE AS SOME TUNNELS AND STATIONS REMAIN
FLOODED AND POWER IS STILL OUT IN MUCH OF DOWNTOWN, BUT THE LIGHTS BEGAN TO
TURN BACK ON IN SOME AREAS NEAR WALL STREET. BUT STILL, SUBWAYS WON'T RUN
YET TO THE CITY'S FINANCIAL DISTRICT.
TRAFFIC CLOGGED THE STREETS AS PEOPLE RETURNED TO WORK, SO NYC MAYOR
BLOOMBERG ANNOUNCED ONLY VEHICLES WITH 3 OR MORE OCCUPANTS WILL BE ALLOWED
TO ENTER MANHATTAN BETWEEN 6 AM AND MIDNIGHT.
AS NEW YORK SLOWLY REBOUNDS, NEW JERSEY IS STRUGGLING TO RECOVER. FLEETS
OF EARTH MOVERS ARE WORKING TO CLEAR STREETS CLOGGED BY SAND AND DEBRIS,
AND RESCUERS CONTINUE TO HELP THOSE STRANDED BY THE STORM. BUT RESIDENTS
ARE WORRIED ABOUT GAS LEAKS AND THE APPARENT SHORTAGE OF GAS CREWS TO HELP
SHUT DOWN RUPTURED LINES
Mos: Where are all these gas truck? You got down the block, we got
down the block, why can't we get gas trucks down the block.
PRESIDENT OBAMA TOURED SOME OF THE DAMAGE WITH GOVERNOR CHRIS CHRISTIE.
Christie: He has worked incredibly close with me. I cannot thank
the president enough for his personal concern and compassion for our state
and the people of our state.
Obama: What I can promise you is that the federal govt will be working as
closely as possible with the state and local officials and we will not quit
until this is done.
AND THEN THERE WAS HALLOWEEN. MANY TOWNS DECIDED TO POSTPONE IT BUT SOME
WERE NOT DETERRED , ON LONG ISLAND, SUPERHEORES AND CATS WERE OUT AND IN
NEW YORK CITY, EVEN WITH THE POWER OUT, TRICK OR TREATERS TOOK TO THE
STREETS.

Today's Weather Story
THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
A weak front brings slight changes for Thursday"
After several days of nice weather across our part of the state, a very weak front will bring some slight changes to our Thursday.
Our morning will start off mostly sunny and comfortable with temperatures in the upper 50s to near 60° along the urban corridor, with a few middle 50s across our inland and northern cool spots.
A weak cold front will sag down the peninsula on Thursday keeping a mix of sun and clouds in the forecast with a slight chance for a few spotty showers during the afternoon and early evening. Temperatures will continue to run in the upper 70s to near 80°. While this front, won't bring another dose of colder air, it will reinforce the pleasant weather we've already been seeing.
As we head into Friday and the weekend, dry high pressure will clear things out and provide us with plenty of sunshine to fill our skies, along with a dry weather pattern that will hold across Southwest Florida. Expect temperatures to fall into the upper 50s to low 60s during the mornings with highs in the lower 80s during the afternoons.
By early next week, we'll be tracking another cold front that will bring isolated showers to Southwest Florida followed by another nice refreshing push of Autumn air.

Weather Trends
