Not only is this chunk missing from the i75 overpass after the arm of a back hoe struck it, but several beams are damaged underneath. THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
"A FEW CHILLY NIGHTS AHEAD"
You could definitely feel a change in the airmass today as highs peaked only into the lower to middle 70s, which kept us a good 10° below the norm for this time of year. For the remainder of our Wednesday afternoon we will see a few clouds mixing in with our sunshine, as a northwest wind continues to usher in some cooler air that's rushing in over the relatively warmer waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
That will more than likely keep a few patchy clouds in the forecast tonight with the possibility of a sprinkle or two. You'll also notice a more dramatic drop in our temperatures by morning as they settle into the middle 50s along the urban corridor with a few upper 40s deeper inland. Slightly milder conditions will be felt along our coastal and beach locations with temperatures in the upper 50s to 60°.
A few clouds are still possible in the morning forecast for Thursday, however with a northerly wind developing throughout the day, that will allow some even drier and cooler air to filter down the spine of the peninsula. This will clear any of the leftover clouds out allowing for bright sunshine to return to Southwest Florida. Despite our sunny skies during the afternoon, temperatures will only climb into the lower 70s with very comfortable humidity levels.
Thursday night looks to be the chilliest of the week or even this season. Temperatures will plummet into the upper 40s to low 50s along the urban corridor with a few middle 40s across our inland and northern communities.
It will be a spectacular finish to the work week as high pressure remains in control of our weather pattern with plentiful sunshine, low humidity, and temperatures in the upper 70s. By the weekend, our winds will take more of an easterly turn, which will bring a bit of low level moisture across the state. By Saturday and Sunday, expect a few more clouds dotting the sky with temperatures recovering back into the lower 80s.
Right now computer forecast models are indicating another cold front moving down the peninsula Tuesday and Wednesday with the possibility of a few more cloudy periods.

MEET GAVIN.
NOT QUITE TWO YEARS OLD.
TO GET AROUND TOWN, HIS FAMILY PURCHASED A STROLLER MADE BY "BUGABOO".
"We loved the bugaboo line. so we decided to go with the chameleon, it's a little bit bigger."
INITIALLY, GAVIN FIT SNUGLY INTO THE STRAPS MEANT TO SECURE HIM IN HIS SEAT.
"But as he got older and more mobile, the straps were just extraordinarily loose no matter how tight I could make them. he was able to not just get his arms out but actually physically stand up in the stroller."
CONCERNED OVER LITTLE GAVIN'S SAFETY, FAITH REACHED OUT TO BUGABOO.
"So, the first time I called them, they just said I'm sorry, there is nothing that can be done."
FAITH SAYS SHE CALLED AGAIN. AND GOT THE SAME RESPONSE.
THEN.
"So my mother-in-law was watching the news and she was like you're not going to believe this. She's like some woman has the same problem!"
IN AUGUST, PARENTS HAD CONTACTED US WITH THEIR CONCERNS OVER THE SAME ISSUE-- STRAPS THAT THE FAMILY SAYS BECOME LOOSE AS A CHILD GETS OLDER.
ONCE WE CONTACTED BUGABOO. THEY OFFERED TO REFUND THE BOHNS THE COST OF THEIR STROLLER PLUS ACCESSORIES.
"So I told bugaboo that I saw your news story"
FAITH SAYS AFTER THAT. SHE GOT A DIFFERENT REACTION FROM BUGABOO:
"They said that we are actually going to replace your fabric straps with the new model of the chameleon which is just coming out, which has a much, much better harness."
AND SHE SAYS SO FAR, THE NEW HARNESS AND STRAPS ARE WORKING GREAT.
"Yeah, they help 100-percent."
