THE STORM POUNDED THE NORTHEAST WITH SNOW, RAIN AND WINDS GUSTING UP TO 60-MILE AN HOUR.
NICK CAMERADA'S STATEN ISLAND HOME WAS DAMAGED BY SANDY. THIS NEW STORM IS PUSHING HIM TO THE LIMIT.
Everything that I own is here and I'm trying to save it.
YESTERDAY NEW YORK MAYOR MICHAEL BLOOMBERG URGED THOSE IN LOW-LYING AREAS TO GO SOMEWHERE SAFER.
There could be some major flooding in spots already eroded by Sandy, the difference here is that the barriers of sand or rock that were there before perhaps are not there.
THE STORM IS CREATING A POTENTIALLY DEADLY SITUATION FOR THOSE STILL WITHOUT POWER AFTER SANDY, AND IT'S PUT RECOVERY EFFORTS ON HOLD.
We got our power back on last Friday and it's back out again today, so frustrated's a fair word.

LEE COUNTY DEPUTIES SAY A COUNTY COMMISSIONER WAS INSIDE A CAR FILLED WITH DRUGS AND A TEENAGE BOY.
18-YEAR-OLD DAVID HENLEY IS FACING CHARGES.
INVESTIGATORS SAY HE WAS DRIVING BRIAN BIGALOW'S RENTED CAR WITHOUT A LICENSE AND WAS IN POSSESSION OF COCAINE AND MARIJUANA.
HENLEY TOLD THE DEPUTY THAT THE COCAINE BELONGED TO BIGELOW. BUT BIGELOW DENIED KNOWING ANYTHING ABOUT THE DRUGS AND WAS NOT ARRESTED.
THE DEPUTY SAID HE PULLED THE CAR OVER AFTER NOTICING THE MEN DRIVE AWAY FROM A KNOWN-DRUG HOUSE IN TICE.

You could definitely feel the change in the airmass yesterday as highs peaked only into the lower to middle 70s, which kept us a good 10° below the norm for this time of year. Thursday looks like a repeat performance as cooler and drier air filters down the state.
As you step out the door this morning, you will notice a more dramatic drop in temperatures as most of us have settled into the middle 50s along the urban corridor with a few upper 40s deeper inland. Slightly milder conditions will be felt along our coastal and beach locations with temperatures in the upper 50s to 60°.
A few clouds are still possible in the morning forecast for Thursday, however with a northerly wind developing throughout the day, that will allow some even drier and cooler air to filter down the spine of the peninsula. This will clear any of the leftover clouds out allowing for bright sunshine to return to Southwest Florida. Despite our sunny skies during the afternoon, temperatures will only climb into the lower 70s with very comfortable humidity levels.
Thursday night looks to be the chilliest of the week. Temperatures will plummet into the upper 40s to low 50s along the urban corridor with a few middle 40s across our inland and northern communities.
It will be a spectacular finish to the work week as high pressure remains in control of our weather pattern with plentiful sunshine, low humidity, and temperatures in the upper 70s. By the weekend, our winds will take more of an easterly turn, which will bring a bit of low level moisture across the state. By Saturday and Sunday, expect a few more clouds dotting the sky with temperatures recovering back into the lower 80s.
Right now computer forecast models are indicating another cold front moving down the peninsula Tuesday with the possibility of a few more cloudy periods and our next chance for rain.

From multiple angles the video shows how that stolen plane and the air
terminal were damaged back in July at the hands of a distraught, rogue
airline pilot on a suicide mission.

On that date in 2011. Jared Loughner walked into the middle of a
Congress on your Corner event, and opened fire.
Six people died, 13 were wounded, including then Congresswoman
Gabrielle Giffords.
Patricia Maisch, standing at the back of the line, was not hurt
physically, but like so many others, still carries the psychological scars.

"everytime there is a loud sudden noise, sometimes expected sometimes
unexpected -- it is shocking and takes me back to that morning and the sound
of that gunshot."

Standing in front of a statue to remember the crime's youngest victim,
Maisch says she will say a few words on Loughner's sentencing tomorrow, but
they were not be aimed at the shooter.

"I just have to shake my head. I don't there are words with a strong enough
meaning, so I have no words for him."

But she will have words who acted with courage and compassion on that
day.
And today she has a reminder for those who still want to make a

PLENTY OF PEOPLE HAD NO TROUBLE- AND THERE'S NO INDICATION ANY OF THIS TILTED THE OUTCOME OF THE ELECTION, BUT THERE'S LITTLE DOUBT THIS IS NOW A PATCHWORK SYSTEM THAT'S MESSY, UNWIELDY, DIFFERENT IN EVERY STATE.
"It would be very difficult to fix it by having one system. The states have primary authority for conducting elections and some of them pass that authority down to the counties and give them leeway in implementation. And it would be extremely challenging because each state has its own traditions, its own culture."
HERRNSON SAYS THERE'S NO BIG FIX. HE SAYS AFTER THE 2000 FLORIDA RECOUNT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ALLOCATED SOME MONEY TO TRY TO IMPROVE THINGS- AND CREATED AN AGENCY CALLED THE 'ELECTION ASSISTANCE COMMISSION'. HERRNSON SAYS THE PROBLEM WITH THAT AGENCY IS THAT IT DOESN'T WORK VERY WELL. IT'S NOT WELL-FUNDED, AND - WE CHECKED THIS- IT'S BEEN WITHOUT ALL FOUR OF ITS DESIGNATED COMMISSIONERS FOR ALMOST A YEAR NOW. You could definitely feel the change in the airmass yesterday as highs peaked only into the lower to middle 70s, which kept us a good 10° below the norm for this time of year. Thursday looks like a repeat performance as cooler and drier air filters down the state.
As you step out the door this morning, you will notice a more dramatic drop in temperatures as most of us have settled into the middle 50s along the urban corridor with a few upper 40s deeper inland. Slightly milder conditions will be felt along our coastal and beach locations with temperatures in the upper 50s to 60°.
A few clouds are still possible in the morning forecast for Thursday, however with a northerly wind developing throughout the day, that will allow some even drier and cooler air to filter down the spine of the peninsula. This will clear any of the leftover clouds out allowing for bright sunshine to return to Southwest Florida. Despite our sunny skies during the afternoon, temperatures will only climb into the lower 70s with very comfortable humidity levels.
Thursday night looks to be the chilliest of the week. Temperatures will plummet into the upper 40s to low 50s along the urban corridor with a few middle 40s across our inland and northern communities.
It will be a spectacular finish to the work week as high pressure remains in control of our weather pattern with plentiful sunshine, low humidity, and temperatures in the upper 70s. By the weekend, our winds will take more of an easterly turn, which will bring a bit of low level moisture across the state. By Saturday and Sunday, expect a few more clouds dotting the sky with temperatures recovering back into the lower 80s.
Right now computer forecast models are indicating another cold front moving down the peninsula Tuesday with the possibility of a few more cloudy periods and our next chance for rain.
