ANOTHER STORY WE'RE WATCHING CLOSELY AT NOON -- THE THIRD DAY OF TESTIMONY IN THE CAPE CORAL DAY CARE MURDER CASE.
ROBERT DUNN IS ACCUSED OF MURDERING HIS WIFE INSIDE A DAY CARE, IN FRONT OF LITTLE CHILDREN.
HE COULD BE SENTENCED TO DEATH IF CONVICTED --
AND TODAY THE STATE IS COUNTING ON PHYSICAL EVIDENCE TO PROVE ITS CASE.
NBC-2'S ELIZABETH BILLINGSLEY JUST STEPPED OUT OF THE COURTROOM WITH THE LATEST.

WE'VE SEEN POWERFUL TESTIMONY OVER THE PAST SEVERAL DAYS - AS WITNESSES RECALL MEMORIES SO RAW THAT EVEN AFTER ALMOST FIVE YEARS - MANY HAVE FOUND IT DIFFICULT TO KEEP THEIR COMPOSURE.
Return to index of stories...
BUT THIS MORNING - IT'S BEEN MORE CALM IN THE COURTROOM -
AS A MEDICAL EXAMINER SAYS CHRISTINE DUNN DIED WITHIN MINUTES OF THE FATAL GUNSHOTS - LOSING CONSCIOUSNESS AND WITHOUT FEELING MUCH PAIN.
Return to index of stories...
But even then she would have expired quickly and been unconscious?
9:37:05 we know that she was unconscious and died relatively quickly, yes.
TAKE A LOOK AT SOME OF THE PICTURES JURORS JUST SAW MOMENTS AGO --
- A CAPE CORAL FORENSIC TECH WENT TO DUNN'S HOME THE DAY AFTER THE SHOOTING -
- INSIDE A WASHING MACHINE, SHE FOUND HIDDEN A BOX FOR THE GUN AND AMMUNITION
- SHE SAYS THE GUN FOUND ON SCENE HAD THE SAME SERIAL NUMBER AS THE BOX.

THE STATE HAS TWO MORE WITNESSES TO CALL - AND EXPECTS TO WRAP UP ITS CASE AGAINST DUNN THIS AFTERNOON.
THE DEFENSE HAS INDICATED THAT IT WILL PUT ON EVIDENCE AS WELL.

SCRIPT:
LIKE THE SPY CHIEF THAT HE RECENTLY WASDAVID PETRAEUS ARRIVED ON CAPITOL
HILL AND SPOKE BEFORE TWO CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTEES WITHOUT BEING SEEN!
REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS HAVE DEMANDED ANSWERS ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED THE
NIGHT THE US CONSULATE WAS ATTACKED IN BENGAZI LIBYA - AND WHAT WENT WRONG.
TODAY THE FORMER CIA DIRECTOR AND RETIRED FOUR STAR GENERAL WENT TO THE
HOUSE AND SENATE INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEES TO PROVIDE THEM.
FIVE DAYS AFTER THE ATTACK - UN AMBASSADOR SUSAN RICE WENT ON TELEVISION AND
SAID THE ATTACK WAS PROMPTED BY AN ANTI-MUSLIM VIDEO THAT SPARKED UPRISINGS
IN EGYPT.
A small number of people came/ to the consulate/to replicate the sort of
challenge that was posed in cairo. And then as that unfolded, it seems to
have been hijacked, let us say, by some individual clusters of extremists.
THE ADMINISTRATION LATER SAID THAT ASSESMENT WAS BASED ON INITIAL
INTELLIGENCE THAT TURNED OUT TO BE WRONG.
As information came in, information was put out. The information may not
have always been right the first time.
AFTER THE HOUSE INTEL MEETING.REPUBLICAN CONGRESSMAN PETER KING SAID HE
WAS SATISFIED WITH THE ULTIMATE CONCLUSION THAT PETRAEUS REACHED.
They now clearly believe it was, did not arise out of a demonstration, it
was not spontaneous and it was clear terrorist involvement.
PETRAEUS' APPEARANCE ON THE HILL WAS HIS FIRST SINCE HIS RESIGNATION LAST
WEEK OVER AN EXTRAMARITAL AFFAIR. LAWMAKERS SAID THE ISSUE DID NOT COME UP
IN QUESTIONING ABOUT BENGHAZI BUT.
There was a certain amount of awkwardness.

TURNING TO TEXAS WHERE A PARADE ACCIDENT TURNS DEADLY.
A TRAIN SLAMS INTO A PARADE FLOAT CARRYING MILITARY VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
AT LEAST FOUR PEOPLE ARE DEAD - MORE THAN A DOZEN INJURED.
NBC'S JANET SHAMLIAN REPORTS ON THE INVESTIGATION.
Return to index of stories...
It was supposed to be a night of joyous celebration in Midland, Texas Thursday - a parade honoring wounded veterans, followed by a banquet in their honor.
But in an instant it all turned into a horrible, deadly nightmare.
1/8INSERT 911 AUDIO 3/8
A flatbed trailer carrying twelve of the veterans and their spouses was crossing railroad tracks when a double decker Union Pacific freight train slammed into them.
SOT:
"THIS MAY BE ONE OF THE MOST TRAGIC EVENTS WE'VE HAD IN OUR TOWN."
Michael Rodriguez, an Iraq war vet heard the crash and ran to help.
SOT:
"THERE WERE LOTS OF PEOPLE OUT WALKING AROUND/EDIT/WE WERE TRYING TO SEE MAYBE IF THERE'S ANY HELP OR ANYTHING THAT WE COULD DO TO HELP ANY OF THEM."
Midland County Sheriff Gary Painter told reporters at the scene the trailer was almost across the tracks when it was hit. He said some on the flatbed tried to jump, others tried to protect their wives and girlfriends.he called it pandemonium.
One of those, 34-year old Army Staff Sergeant Joshua Michael - recipient of two purple hearts. His mother-in-law says Michael pushed his wife Daylyn off the trailer just before the train hit - Daylyn survived, Joshua Michael was killed.
Union Pacific spokesman Tom Lange in a statement said "The railroad crossing has lights and a crossing gate." He said the railroad's preliminary investigation, "indicates that the lights and gates were operating at the time." /iof the crash.
Video taken after the accident shows the lights still flashing and the crossing gate down.
The parade and banquet were sponsored by a group called SHOW OF SUPPORT. Their website says each year they try to find new ways to thank military men and women for their service. This year it was an event called HUNT FOR HEROES, an all-expenses paid deer hunting trip for the wounded veterans.
Dozens of condolence messages appeared on the group's facebook page.
SOT RODRIGUEZ
"ITS REALLY SAD BECAUSE UH THE FAMILIES HAVE ALREADY SEEN THEM GO OFF TO WAR, SEEN STUFF THAT OBVIOUSLY SOME OF THEM - THEY WERE ALL WOUNDED SO THEY'VE ALREADY HAD TO GO THROUGH SOMETHING HORRIFIC
SOT:
"THESE GUYS ARE TRUE AMERICAN HEROES. I WAS AT THE PARADE AT 4:00 AND THEY PASSED BY WAVING AND CELEBRATING AND MIDLANDERS LINED THE STREETS WITH FLAGS AND WAVING AND SO PROUD OF THESE GUYS. IT'S JUST WE'RE ALL TERRIBLY SAD."

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
"Mostly cloudy today"
Low clouds continue to hang tough across Southwest Florida and that has kept temperatures in the middle 60s for most of the morning. These clouds will stick around through the early afternoon hours keeping our skies a bit on the gray side. We may get a couple of breaks in the clouds later this afternoon to reveal a few peaks of sunshine.
As a result temperatures will have a difficult time reaching that 80° mark with most locations topping out in the mid 70s. Tonight, clouds will remain in place with overnight lows settling into the lower to middle 60s with the possibility of a couple of stray showers.
This system will produce more clouds than rain across Southwest Florida as we will cap the rain chance at 20-30% across the area through Saturday. Temperatures during this timeframe will hover into the upper 70s near 80° with lows in the 60s.
By Sunday, more sunshine is on tap as dry high pressure keeps our weather pattern nice and stable through early next week. Temperatures will run close to average with highs near 80° and lows near 60° through the Thanksgiving holiday.

THE FIRST STEP, INJECTING THE FILLER. EACH INJECTION CONTAINS JUVADERM AND A NUMBING MEDICINE.
NEXT… THE LASER.
"The laser works on the surface and below the skin to make the body do its own work."
"The laser actually stimulates the layers to make new collagen."
IT DOES THAT WITH VIRTUALLY NO DISCOMFORT
"No pain at all."

YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO HELP POLICE AND EARN SOME MONEY IN THE PROCESS!
IT'S FUGITIVE FRIDAY,
TRISH ROUTTE WITH SOUTHWEST FLORIDA CRIME STOPPERS IS HERE WITH A NEW LIST OF WANTED FOLKS.
Return to index of stories...
Starting off our list this week is Tryphena Brown, a registered convicted felon with 22 arrests under her belt. Currently on the run for violating terms of her probation, Brown is a well versed criminal who has served six stints in state prison for her less than legal actions. Her rap sheet dates back to 1989 when she was incarcerated for robbery and selling cocaine. Since that time, she's racked up a long list of theft charges, several counts of grand theft, dealing in stolen property, shoplifting and selling cocaine within 1,000 feet of a local school. This 45 year old fugitive is 5'8", 320 pounds and has been known to use the aliases of Barbara Williams, Jackie Keosea and Troy Brown. Detectives say she was last known to be living in Lehigh Acres.
Also on the lam this week is Solie King, a convicted sexual predator with a history of violence and a blatant disregard for the law. King is currently dodging charges of probation violations, following an arrest for criminal mischief. Over the years, he's been booked into the Lee County Jail for several counts of battery, armed robbery, negligent manslaughter, attempted sexual battery on a child under the age of 11, grand theft auto, fraud and twice for aggravated battery on a pregnant victim. In his lifetime, he's had eight orders of protection issued against him, four of which are permanent. King is 35 years old and has several tattoos, including a teardrop under his right eye, and the names Juanita inked on his right hand and Samori King on his right arm.
Also on our list of law breakers is 21 year old William Ortega, wanted in Collier County for violation of state probation, on the heels of an arrest for grand theft. Ortega had been living in the North Naples area, but knowing that he's a wanted man, there's a good chance he could be laying low in the Orlando area, where he has friends and family to help him hide. But whether near or far, deputies are on the ready to bring him back home to face justice. Ortega is 6'1", 210 pounds and has his nickname, "Big Sean" tattooed on both of his forearms. Detectives say Ortega may also be using the alias of William Sean Encarnacion to help keep him off law enforcement's radar.
And last, but certainly not least, is Nelson Sanderson, one of the top 10 fugitives on Crime Stoppers Most Wanted list. This 71 year old fugitive has been on the run for several months now, on the heels of a warrant for two counts of the lewd or lascivious molestation of a child under the age of 12. According to the arrest warrant, Sanderson is accused of performing extremely repulsive acts on a child on one or more occasions between July 2010 and July 2012. The victim was a young girl to whom Sanderson was an authority figure, however his accused actions terminated that level of trust. Sanderson was last known to be living in North Fort Myers, and if he's convicted of the charges, he'll be facing two life felony sentences.

"When you're using, for example, a cloud-based digital wallet.that information is not even stored on the phone itself.it's in the cloud. You're accessing it on your phone but the information about your credit card is not physically stored on the phone"
THAT'S WHY PREDICTIONS ABOUT THE MOBILE PAYMENT INDUSTRY ARE ALSO AT CLOUD-LEVEL.
"And we will reach the point over the course of the next decade where consumers will use their mobile phones as payment devices more often than those plastic credit cards they've been carrying around for the last 50 years"

"Typically i'm looking for bargains on designer items."
"I just love to get high-end goods for a really cheap price."
BUT IS THE PRICE YOU PAY AT THE OUTLET STORES REALLY A DEAL?
"You should always do your research."
ANDREA BROWNE WITH KIPLINGER DOT COM SAYS FIRST RULE. DON'T PRESUME YOU ARE ALWAYS GETTING TOP QUALITY MERCHANDISE. CERTAIN BRANDS CREATE INVENTORY JUST FOR OUTLET STORES.
"Which means they've never been for sale in the retail store. They might use a cheaper fabric, they might use hardware that isn't the same quality as you would find in a retail store."
WHICH IS WHY CHILDREN'S CLOTHING IS A DEAL AT THE OUTLETS. QUALITY NOT AN ISSUE IF THEY OUTGROW THEM.
"Little kids clothes only last one season. It is ridiculous to spend a lot of money for them."
A BIG DON'T WHEN IT COMES TO OUTLET SHOPPING. DON'T ASSUME ALL PRICES ARE CHEAPER. KIPLINGER SAYS THAT'S TRUE FOR ELECTRONICS AND ATHLETIC APPAREL.
"Outlet stores, they pretty much are the same prices as what's in the retail stores."
MORE "DON'TS". DON'T BUY SUITS. OUTLET STORES DON'T OFFER TAILORING. AND KIPLINGER SAYS DON'T BUY OUTLET JEWELRY.
"You want something that has been certified in terms of the quality of the materials used."
SO WHAT ARE THE DEALS WHEN IT COMES TO OUTLET SHOPPING?
BROWNE SAYS SHOES. THEY ARE OFTEN SHIPPED DIRECTLY FROM THE RETAILER, THE SAME QUALITY AT A BETTER PRICE.
ANOTHER DEAL, LUGGAGE. YOU CAN FIND CURRENT SEASON BAGS, THE SAME QUALITY, SOMETIMES UP TO 30-PERCENT OFF.
AND DEALS ON HOUSEWARES, SUCH AS KITCHEN ITEMS.
"The thing with housewares that you find with outlet stores is that a lot of times there might be small nicks or little pings in the paint which means it can't be sold in the retail stores so they send it to the outlet store."
SO HEADING INTO THE HOLIDAY SHOPPING SEASON., AS LONG AS YOU KNOW WHAT'S REAL, YOU'LL KNOW WHICH ITEMS ARE THE BEST OUTLET DEALS.
