THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
The day before Thanksgiving can at times be a traveling nightmare, but not this year. As we head into Thanksgiving eve much of the nation looks quiet. Of course that's good news because I know many of you will be heading out to feast and give thanks.
The one exception will be across the Pacific Northwest. If your travels take you to the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, or Montana check before you head out. Again, the rest of the nation will be just peachy.
In fact, as you begin preparing for your meal mother-nature will begin serving something of her own for us in southwest Florida - nice, crisp autumn air.
Why?
A series of cold fronts will roll through the south, and behind each front lays a touch of refreshing air. Oh, and these will be dry fronts so you need not to worry about rain for the next seven days!
Wednesday, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, and the holiday weekend will all be dry. We'll even pull out the sun!
Trust me, you'll not only see the change behind each front, but you'll feel it, too. Temperatures will be in the lower 50s during the mornings, and then they'll rebound to the low 70s for daytime highs.

WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD.
"FAMILY DOLLAR" IS MOVING INTO THE DOWNTOWN CAPE - FINALLY!
-Patti Martin/P&Z Chair-"As the building stands alone it looks pretty darn good."

EARLIER THIS MONTH, THE P-AND-Z PUT THE PROJECT ON HOLD. NOT HAPPY WITH THE BUILDING'S "BASIC" EXTERIOR.
-Martin-"We are building a city. I choose to build a quality city so when I look at a project I look at how it affects everything."
-Alex Boyer-"Under the new and improved plan, the developer will make several changes, one of them is adding a tower with a stainless steel roof. They'll also add contrasting walls for a more decorative feel and lastly extend windows and awnings along the side of the building."
THIS IS WHAT THE FINISHED FAMILY DOLLAR STORE SHOULD LOOK LIKE -- COMPLETE WITH LUSH LANDSCAPING.
-Charles Basinait/Represents Family Dollar-"Actually there were quite a few things done to the building so that is going to be a significant cost but I guess at the end of the day it's the cost of doing business."
THE 8,300-SQUARE FOOT STORE IS ONE OF SEVERAL FAMILY DOLLAR'S SETTING UP SHOP IN CAPE CORAL. BRINGING NEW BUSINESS TO SOUTHWEST FLORIDA'S LARGEST CITY.
STILL, NOT EVERYONE IS HAPPY TO HAVE THE VALUE CHAIN AS ITS NEW NEIGHBOR.
