Return to index of stories...
THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
SUNSHINE TO RETURN
Clouds were in abundance for us on Friday. The skies had a dreary look, yes, but the sunshine will soon return!
The big question… Will it return this weekend? Well, let me take you through the changes and let you know.
We have two systems at play in our local weather pattern. First, high pressure is nudging into the state, and it's bringing low level clouds from the Atlantic to the area. Next is a piece of energy in the upper portions of the atmosphere that made its way over from Texas. It's also giving us added clouds, but they're in the high variety.
So we have clouds coming in from both the east and west. Thankfully, the system that came from Texas will move out by tomorrow afternoon, and guess what that means?
The sun is back!
Thus, we're going to call Saturday, Sunday, and Monday partly sunny. Morning lows will be around 60, and daytime highs - get ready - warming up to the lower if not mid 80s! Not only do we get the sun in full force, we get a warming trend, too.
But that's why we live in Florida, right?
As we go into Tuesday we'll see the clouds increase due to another cold front approaching. However, it's going to become disorganized and fall apart as it gets closer. That's been the trend so far this season, fronts completely dying before reach the region. This means no cold air and no rainfall.
Clouds? Yes, but only for Tuesday and Wednesday. After midweek the sun is back with a vengeance, and the warm temperatures continue.
Boaters use caution if you go out as winds will be coming from the E-NE at 15 to 20 knots.

New Yorkers don't necessarily have the best reputation.
But this photo may shatter some misconceptions.NYPD Officer Larry Deprimo giving new boots to a barefoot homeless man on a cold November night.
Jennifer Foster, a tourist from Arizona, couldn't resist taking the picture.
This officer sat down next to him, took his gloves off of his hands and proceeded to help the man put socks and shoes on his feet/This man's face lit up like it was Christmas and like he had just been given literally a million dollars
Officer DePrimo was on counter terrorism patrol that night
It was freezing. the first thing I thought was "This is absolutely unacceptable." So I went up to him and I said "Where are your socks or shoes or anything?"
The shoe store was right there. Jose Cano was on shift.
I worked in the city for about 10 years and no one's really sort of taken that sort of initiative
Cano cut Deprimo a deal on waterproof winter boots. The officer paid with his own money.
I keep the receipt in my pocket vest because I think it's an important reminder that some people have it worse
This was definitely selfless service just an act of human kindness and he had no intention of receiving any credit for it.
And perhaps that is why the photo has gone viral. more than 430,000 likes on Facebook.and all over twitter.
"NYPD Officer Larry DePrimo, I salute you."
".a reminder of what protect and serve is supposed to mean"

RUNS:
5:44 I'm not really embarrassed by this because I do so many thing in life and I got so many good friends.
DR. AMANDA AVILA/NEUROLOGIST
RUNS:
10:13 The hands by far are the most common place where people have tremor. The next most common is the head tremor. Something called the 'no no' tremor where the head rocks back and fourth and this can be annoying to a lot of patients.
THE UNCONTROLLABLE MOVEMENTS DON'T ORIGINATE IN THE MUSCLES. ESSENTIAL TREMORS ARE A NEUROLOGICAL DISORDER.
DR. AMANDA AVILA/NEUROLOGIST
RUNS:
1:30 There are some abnormal signals in the brain and that miscommunicates with the hands and the muscles. And that causes the tremor and causes most of the trouble. People's muscles are totally normal.
AMY OSHIER/REPORTING
RUNS:
Tremors are for the most part benign. Meaning they don't cause any harm. But there is a danger the shaking may be a symptom something else.
DR. AMANDA AVILA/NEUROLOGIST
RUNS:
6:32 Many times tremor is a result of another medical condition, like an abnormal thyroid or a side effect of other medications. It's helpful to be aware that treating that underlying cause can very effectively treat the tremor or eliminate it altogether.
TREMOR TREATMENTS INCLUDE THERAPY, MEDICATIONS, EVEN DEEP BRAIN STIMULATION. BUT IT'S IMPORTANT TO GET A PROPER DIAGNOSIS BEFORE DECIDING YOUR NEXT MOVE. FOR LEE MEMORIAL HEALTH SYSTEM, I'M AMY OSHIER.

FORECAST OPEN

IF YOU THINK ANIMAL PRINT IS SOMETHING ONLY THE LADIES OF "THE JERSEY SHORE" CAN GET AWAY WITH, THINK AGAIN.
"Some of this season's hottest trends completely contradict a lot of the myths that we've become accustomed to believing about fashion.
Animal prints get a really bad wrap for being kind of gaudy but the truth is leopard can absolutely be ladylike it's all about accenting it properly.
So this skirt is a great option, it's a pencil cut which looks amazing on a girl with curves. I found it at Lane Bryant. This is a leopard print in darker tones, you wanna stay away from like the bright colors or the the shades of leopard with white and things in them if you wanna have a really polished and ladylike look and then just kind of up the sophistication a little bit you do a silky blouse in a nice rich jewel tone."
STYLE EXPERT NICOLE YOUNG KEEPS THE ACCESSORIES MINIMAL WITH A BLACK BAG AND A MATCHING PAIR OF PUMPS.
"Don't believe the hype about leggings not being able to go glam because it just is not true the right pair of leggings can be dressed up in minutes.
It's important to pick a pair though with a fun print because if you go with a basic solid color, you run the risk of wearing something that looks like you're going to the gym.
Then if you match it with a top that has a peplum to it, it's just by nature going to make it feel a little more dressy and then a pair of statement shoes that's really gonna give the look that extra bit of panache. This whole look head to toe is from boohoo dot com."
AND AS FOR THE THIRD MYTH WE'RE DEBUNKING.
"If anyone's telling you that lace has no place at the office, don't believe them because the truth is you absolutely can give lace a polished and professional feel.
This is a designer brand name blouse that I found at TJ Maxx and what's great about this blouse in terms of modesty is a built-in camisole.
To finish this look off, you wanna wear it with a great pair of tailored trousers and a high heeled loafer because that gives you a look of professionalism but without sacrificing the style."

SOT BITE DR. EDWARD BOYER. "I THINK THE QUICK MESSAGE IS THAT THE COMPANY

problem."
MEANTIME, THE GOVERNMENT says that while this is a popular drug, there are
other manufacturers and it does not expect an immediate shortage.

it is medically.

CONTAINS NUMEROUJS PARTICLES OF GLASS A MILLIMETER IN SIZE OR LESS IS AKIN
