NICE WEATHER AGAIN TOMORROW
We are in for another nice, warm day again tomorrow. Winds continue from the south/southeast on Wednesday and that will boost us back into the upper 70's to around 80 in the afternoon. Skies will be partly cloudy this evening with temperatures dropping only to the lower 60's by morning. There could be some fog developing tonight across parts of southwest Florida. As always, use caution in the morning when driving in areas of fog. Rain chances remain less than 10% again on Wednesday.
Another front will move into the northern part of Florida late on Thursday afternoon and sink toward our part of the state on Friday. It looks like we can expect a few more clouds by Thursday and about a 30% chance of showers by Friday. This coming weekend looks like we will carry over the chance for showers on Saturday and Sunday. At this point I don't expect widespread heavy rain, but the first weekend of 2013 may indeed feature some showers to track. The aforementioned front doesn't appear to be set up to deliver any cold weather to our area this weekend, but our high temperatures will likely come down from the 80 degree mark by a few points.

AN EXTREMELY EMOTIONAL DAY IN COURT FOR A FORT MYERS WOMAN NEARLY STABBED TO DEATH THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS.
GOOD EVENING.
I'M LINDSAY LOGUE.

THOSE WORDS COMING FROM TRACEY MARRAZZI TODAY IN FORT MYERS.
POLICE SAY 32 YEAR OLD JOHN MAATSCH BROKE INTO HER HOME IN THE PASEO COMMUNITY AND STABBED HER.
SHE WAS THERE FOR MAATSCH'S FIRST COURT APPEARNCE.
N-B-C 2'S KELLY CRESWELL SHOWS US HER TEARFUL PLEA TO THE JUDGE TO KEEP THE MAN WHO NEARLY ENDED HER LIFE, BEHIND BARS.

SHAKEN AND BANDAGED UP, TRACEY MARAZZI MUSTERED ENOUGH STRENGTH AND COURAGE TO FACE HER ACCUSED ATTACKER---A STRANGER---AND NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR.
05.56.47 "it's hard to be here, but I could not let this guy back out on the street. I'm scared, my child is scared."
FEARING FOR HER LIFE, TRACEY BEGGED THE JUDGE TO NOT GIVE JOHN MAATSCH THE CHANCE TO BOND OUT OF JAIL.
FIGHTING THROUGH TEARS, TRACEY DESCRIBED THE MORNING AFTER CHRISTMAS---WHEN SHE WOKE UP AT FOUR IN THE MORNING TO SEE A MAN STARING DOWN AT HER.
05.50.34 "I don't know how long he stood there and looked at me while I slept before he stabbed me in the chest. He stabbed me three times, just missed my artery, just less than a millimeter, collapsed my lung and almost killed me."
TRACEY THEN SAYS MAATSCH TRIED TO ATTACK HER 11 YEAR OLD SON, BUT SHE FOUGHT AGAINST HIM AND THEY BOTH GOT OUT.
WHILE EMERGENCY CREWS RUSHED TRACEY TO THE HOSPITAL, LAW ENFORCEMENT SEARCHED FOR THE SUSPECT.
FIVE DAYS LATER----POLICE SAY MAATSCH TURNED HIMSELF IN.
HE WAS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED BATTTERY.
05.56.17 "This guy broke into my house and stabbed me. He needs to be in jail for attempted murder, not aggravated battery."
THE JUDGE DID GRANT TRACEY'S WISH AND HELD MAATSCH IN JAIL WITHOUT BOND PENDING THE OUTCOME OF A DANGER HEARING.
BUT THROUGH THE BANDAGES AND TEARS---TRACEY IS FIGHTING BACK.
05.56.29 "I almost died. My child had to witness this. I want him to be punished to the fullest extent of the law."
