THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
SLIGHTLY WARMER WEEKEND
All systems go with the cooler air. It finally feels like January!
It's hard to believe that we have been dealing with temperatures around 84 degrees most of the month then boom a cold front pushes through and we struggle to get to 70 degrees.
That's what we dealt with on Friday. Temps started off in the 40s and barely reached the 70s. Quite a shock to the system because we have become acclimated to the above average temperatures.
As we go through the weekend we expect the cold front that ushered this air into the area to retreat to the north as a warm front. That will do two things for us:
1. Increase the temperatures
2. Give us more cloud cover
So we are anticipating a mostly cloudy weekend with temperatures starting off in the upper 50s then reaching highs near 79.
The skies begin to clear out on Monday and Tuesday as another cold front approaches. The front will roll over the area on Tuesday and help drop our temperatures down to near 70 again by midweek.

"It doesn't mean you have to vote. In fact, I'm not even sure if it will lead to more people voting. But it should get rid of some of the red tape that comes along with having to deal with these third party registration groups and all the different ways that we register people to vote."
CLEMENS WENT ON TO SAY THE REGISTRATION SYSTEM WAS USED TO FIND WAYS TO LIMIT WOMEN AND AFRICAN AMERICAN VOTERS.
AND THAT THERE IS NO GOOD REASON FOR PEOPLE TO HAVE TO JUMP THROUGH NEW HOOPS TO SIMPLY REGISTER TO VOTE.

SENATOR CLEMENS SAYS HIS BILL WOULD NOT MEAN YOU HAVE TO VOTE.
PEOPLE COULD OPT OUT IF THEY WISHED.
HE ALSO THINKS AUTOMATIC REGISTRATION WOULD MAKE ELECTION SUPERVISORS' JOBS A LITTLE EASIER BECAUSE THEY WOULDN'T HAVE TO SPEND TIME VERIFYING REGISTRATIONS,
