Today's Weather Story
THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
The blanket of clouds we had around for most of our Tuesday will gradually start to diminish this morning, eventually giving way to a lot more sunshine for our Wednesday.
We'll likely see some of those thin wispy clouds around early on today, but look for increasing sunshine as the day progresses.
Temperatures are starting noticeably cooler this morning with readings as low as the 40s northward and deeper inland, and even with the added sunshine today, daytime highs should only warm into the mid 70s.
Winds will be a little on the breezy side through the day, which will make the air feel cooler at times-especially during the morning.
Something else you'll likely notice is how dry the air feels, and with such low humidity levels in place, rain is not in our forecast.
Tonight will likely be the coolest night of the week as temperatures drop into the upper 40s across urban Southwest Florida and down to the low 40s and upper 30s in some of the inland cold spots.
By Thursday and Friday, temperatures will be on the upward trend as we warm to the mid to upper 70s. Our sky should stay mostly sunny for the next several days, so cloud cover shouldn't be an issue all the way through the upcoming weekend.
The weekend is actually shaping up to be quite nice with highs close to 80 along with comfortable humidity. A weak cool front will attempt to push through late Saturday into Sunday, but some of the long-range forecast models now indicate this front will do very little to cool us off.
Daytime highs should still be close to 80 by early next week, and we may see a little more cloud cover by Monday as our wind flow comes in from the Atlantic.

Full Forecast
