A BIT OF CLOSURE FOR ONE IMMOKALEE FAMILY AFTER A HEARTBREAKING WEEK OF TRAGEDY.

CECILIA DOUGLAS AND HER DAUGHTERS.FOUR YEAR OLD MADISON AND THREE YEAR OLD RYLEE.WERE KILLED MONDAY ON ALLIGATOR ALLEY.

THEIR CAR CRASHED THROUGH A FENCE.AND LANDED IN A CANAL.QUICKLY SINKING BELOW THE WATER.

All killed in a car accident on alligator alley monday morning.

33 year old cecilia douglas was a country girl with a contagious smile. A loving mother and wife-- devoted to her faith.

THE EMPLOYEES THERE HAVE BACKGROUNDS IN SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY ENGINEERING AND MATH. AS THEY MAKE ETHANOL FROM ALGAE.

THEIR GOAL TODAY - GET THESE STUDENTS INTERESTED TOO.

We have 60 people with PhDs so science technology especially engineering and math they contribute to really smart people high wages and of we can inspire these kids to see how exciting it is they can go on the careers earn lots of money and whole successful life.

THESE STUDENTS ARE ON THE 'STEM' TEAM OF SOUTHWEST FLORIDA.

RIGHT NOW, GRADUATES WITH STEM DEGREES ARE IN HIGH DEMAND.

It's actually fun. So we learn a lot in it.

AND WHILE THEY'RE LEARNING IT'S THE SLEEK, LIGHT BOAT DESIGNS THAT GO THE FASTEST.

IT'S THESE KIND OF ASSIGNMENTS THEY REMEMBER.

They can apply the knowledge that the learn in the classroom and use it in things like competitions. So it's just like a sporting event, except for the brain.
