After another cool morning with lows in the 50s and a little patchy fog, the warmth will continue to build today across Southwest Florida with highs projected to reach the 80s.
An abundance of sunshine will keep temperatures rising pretty quickly through the morning and early afternoon; by noon most locations will warm to the mid to upper 70s, and as we go through the mid afternoon, temperatures will top out in the low 80s.
Despite the warming temperatures, humidity will stay at comfortable levels. We'll also have a refreshing easterly breeze coming in from 5-10 mph.
Most of us will enjoy wall to wall sunshine, but there is a little more moisture to the south that may lead to slightly more cloud cover across Collier and Hendry County. However, the atmosphere is too dry for any rain to develop, so these likely won't be rain-producing clouds.
Look for pleasant conditions tonight with the potential for a little patchy fog by early Monday morning. Temperatures also won't be quite as cool tonight with lows getting into the upper 50s and low 60s.
The warmth keeps building into Southwest Florida as we head through the next few days. By Tuesday, temperatures could actually warm to the mid 80s, which will likely be the case Wednesday too. We'll also notice increasing humidity starting Tuesday as winds pick up and become more southerly.
The next cold front is still expected to arrive late Wednesday into early Thursday, bringing us the chance for scattered rain Wednesday night and then another cool down by Thursday.
Daytime highs Thursday through early next weekend should only reach the low to mid 70s while overnight temperatures drop to at least the mid 50s.
So it looks like we've got a stretch of some pretty warm days for the first half of this week followed by some cooler weather by the 1st of February.
Enjoy!

THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL MAJOR OUTBREAKS ON CRUISE SHIPS IN RECENT YEARS.
THE NOROVIRUS --IN LAYMAN'S TERMS - IS A STOMACH BUG.
WE ARE AT THE HEIGHT OF A NEW SEASON WITH A NEW STRAIN.
THE NOROVIRUS IS SPREAD THROUGH FOOD OR DRINK THAT HAS BEEN CONTAMINATED.
YOU CAN ALSO GET IT IF YOU TOUCH A CONTAMINATED SURFACE OR OBJECT AND THEN PUT YOUR HAND TO YOUR MOUTH.
SYMPTOMS INCLUDE ABDOMINAL CRAMPS, VOMITING, NAUSEA, DIARRHEA, AND FATIGUE.
IT HITS YOU ALL OF A SUDDEN.
IT'S EXPLOSIVE.
"It's very contagious. There are multiple epidemics of it. Other than cleaning the areas, there's not a whole lot people can do about it."
"THE NOROVIRUS IS SO CONTAGIOUS BECAUSE IT'S SO HARDY. YOUR TYPICAL HAND SANITIZER. THAT ALONE IS NOT GOING TO DO IT. YOUR TYPICAL DISINFECTING WIPE TO WIPE DOWN SURFACES. NORMALLY THAT WOULD BE FINE, FOR INSTANCE WITH THE FLU VIRUS. NOT THE CASE WITH THE NOROVIRUS. WHAT YOU REALLY NEED TO DO IS TO WASH YOUR HANDS THOROUGHLY WITH SOAP AND WATER. AND WHEN YOU WIPE DOWN SURFACES, MAKE SURE YOU USE A BLEACH BASED SOLUTION."
MOST PEOPLE INFECTED RECOVER AFTER A FEW DAYS.
IN RARE CASES, IT CAN BE FATAL.
PARTICULARLY FOR THE THE VERY OLD AND VERY YOUNG AND THOSE WITH WEAKER IMMUNE SYSTEMS.
ACCORDING TO THE C-D-C, THERE ARE MORE THAN 20 MILLION CASES OF THE NOROVIRUS EACH YEAR, RESULTING IN ABOUT 800 DEATHS IN THE US.
"It's so infectious and requires such a low concentration of virus, it's rapidly spread through a population. That's why you see outbreaks on cruise ships, in dormitories, in places where people are in close contact with one another."

Enjoy!
