COLD FRONT MOVES IN TOMORROW
Windy weather will continue tonight and tomorrow as a cold front crosses Florida. The front has produced severe weather in parts of the southern United States but we are not expecting severe weather here. As the evening unfolds tonight we will see southwest winds gusting over 30 mph and partly cloudy skies. Before sunrise tomorrow we should start to track approaching showers and there will be a threat of rain though 10:00 a.m. Showers could be briefly heavy but they are going to move through here very quickly. Most locations will likely see less than.25" inches of rain tomorrow. By late day we will start to see the clouds break up and winds will turn from the northwest at 20 - 25 mph and gusty. High temperatures tomorrow will be held back in the 70's and it looks like our warm 80 degree weather will be gone for a while.
Looking ahead to the weekend …. Temperatures will be quite chilly in the mornings. We will probably get well into the 40's on Friday and Saturday! Daytime highs through next week will only top out in the 70's. The wind has been a big factor in the weather today but by Friday we will see wind speed drop down. The cooler weather that is coming is not expected to set any records, but it will be especially noticeable after the string of warm days we've had this month.
