Today's Weather Story
THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
We've got another delightful day on the way across Southwest Florida to kick off this first full week of February. Today's forecast will feature more of the gorgeous weather that we sunshine, pleasant temperatures, and comfortable humidity.
After starting with a little morning fog and temperatures as cool as the low to mid 40s, we're set to see an abundance of sunshine along with daytime highs in the low to mid 70s. Winds will become a little lighter today as our flow comes in from the east at 5-10 mph.
Tonight won't be quite as cool as temperatures across the urban corridor dip into the low 50s, but we could see some mid to upper 40s in some of the inland cold spots.
Temperatures will quickly warm as we head through the remainder of the week, and humidity levels will be on the rise as well. By Tuesday afternoon, daytime highs will reach the upper 70s, and by Wednesday afternoon most of SWFL will reach the low 80s during the afternoon.
As a result of the increasing humidity, more clouds will begin developing during the day through the second half of the week, but should still be in line for a nice supply of sunshine.
Rain prospects will remain fairly low this week, but there's a chance for a few showers by Friday as a disturbances passes over the Florida peninsula.

Weather Trends
