THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
WARM WEATHER RETURNS
The overall weather picture is looking great this week. Tonight will be mostly clear and it will be another chilly start to the day on Tuesday. I anticipate lows to drop well into the 40's inland and bottom out around 49 to 52 along the coast. No rain is on the radar tonight and there won't be any again tomorrow. Tuesday high temperatures will reach 78 degrees. And it looks like the 80's are coming back by Wednesday.
A cold front is expected to move across northern Florida over the next few days and stall out around that part of the state. This will keep southwest Florida on the warm side of the front and our daytime highs will top 80 beginning on Wednesday and lasting through this upcoming weekend. There could be some showers up in the panhandle and toward Jacksonville over the next few days, but down here I expect it to be a dry week.
As mentioned, the upcoming weekend should be warm and more nice weather is on the way. The long-range weather forecasts predict a cold front moving into Florida next week - probably Wednesday or Thursday.

"We had the whole concept for the ballpark, we knew that the Red Sox would have 20 acres of vacant land and we wanted to really do things to activate and program that area in a year round basis."
Starting off as a trial run--this farmers market will occupy Fenway south Monday afternoons in February and March. The market co-manager believes it could turn into something much bigger for the county.
Take sound
Jean Baer, Co-manager of Local Roots
"More than 17% of people attending farmers markets will stop someplace else while they're out in their car anyway so it's really stimulating for the economy to have farmers markets in your neighborhood."
And there's plenty of room to build. Several acres of vacant land surround the stadium. We checked with the county--and so far---one business is looking to build off of Ben Hill Griffin parkway. The owners of the sandy parrot plan to build an eight thousand square foot restaurant and sports bar in a spot where airport and spring training traffic would pass by.
Take sound
Renee Notes, Sandy Parrot Owner
"It's the biggest area that has growth, so it just makes sense for us to be over there and be a part of it."
If successful--the farmers market could be a permanent part of JetBlue park.

"We'd like to continue to operate the market here if the test pilot works."

ROZ KALLET LOVES PLAYING GOLF IN THE WINTER FOR *MULTIPLE* REASONS.
LESS THAN A YEAR AFTER MOVING FROM SNOWY CENTRAL NEW YORK TO NAPLES.SHE PULLED OUT HER TRUSTY FOUR-HYBRID AND ATTACKED THIS PAR THREE ISLAND GREEN AT CEDAR HAMMOCK GOLF CLUB.
we watched the shot- and it's one of those- the green is elevated- so the ball hit the green- bounced twice-and rolled in the hole.
A HOLE IN ONE FOR A 69-YEAR-OLD GRANDMOTHER! THAT'S NOT SOMETHING THAT HAPPENS EVERY DAY.
but that's only half the story. Less than two weeks later, Roz put her tee in the ground here on the fourth hole at Cedar Hammock, and got another hole in one on the same hole.
I wacked away, and all of the sudden, one lady with us said, "oh my God- it's going in the hole!" I say- "oooh! Not again!"
TWO HOLE IN ONES. ON THE SAME HOLE. WITHIN 13 DAYS!
IF THAT'S NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU. ROZ ALREADY HAD THREE CAREER HOLE-IN-ONES BEFORE THOSE TWO.
BUT HER BIGGEST THRILL OF ALL WAS SHARING THE NEWS WITH HER FIVE GRANDKIDS.
they're like, "grandma! We can't believe you did this!" And I said, it was just for you! So each one thinks they have their own hole in one now. There's five with five grandchildren. So there's one for each.
ON TOP OF THAT. ROZ'S FIFTH HOLE IN ONE MATCHED HER HUSBAND, JIM'S, CAREER TOTAL.
GOOD LUCK BEATING THAT, GRANDKIDS.
they have a goal to set. They've got to get going. Because there's five more they're going to need to make. And I'm not so sure it can be done.
BUT IF ROZ KEEPS PLAYING HER LUCKY HOLE. THOSE GRANDKIDS MAY NEED TO MAKE MORE THAN FIVE TO CATCH HER.
