FIRST WEATHER
This month sure hasn't felt like February! Temperatures have been in the 80s, sunny skies during the day, and no rain.
That is all going to change within the next 24 hours, but just slightly. No colossal changes expected. It's all due to a low pressure pushing across South Georgia. That low is swinging a cold front in our direction for Friday which will usher in these changes.
Changes start to occur tonight as low temperatures won't be quite as cool. They'll settle into the middle 60s as the clouds begin to increase.
The storm system moving across the northern gulf states will eventually send a weak cool front our way as I mentioned earlier. This front will approach the area on Friday morning with an increase in cloud cover, and a small threat for just a few isolated showers. Once the front clears the peninsula during the day, skies will clear and this will set the stage for a pleasant weekend across Southwest Florida.
Drier air mass will make its way down the state behind the front. That'll cool our overnight lows into the middle and upper 50s by Sunday morning. It won't have much of an impact on our afternoon temperatures as they will continue to warm into the lower 80s with plenty of sunshine.
