THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
WARM WEATHER
Southwest Florida should continue to enjoy pleasant weather for the next few days. A limited amount of moisture is over the state to produce isolated showers this afternoon and early evening - but the steering winds from the southwest should keep most of the activity well east of I-75. The rest of the evening will be partly cloudy and our low tomorrow morning will be around 60 degrees. Starting tomorrow you will notice a little increase in our humidity and clouds will be around throughout the day. A weak cold front will wash-out as it crosses the state on Wednesday and very little, if any, rain is expected. Our afternoon high will hit 82 degrees tomorrow as the front passes with little fanfare. In fact, looking at computer guidance for the rest of the week it looks like we will continue to warm each day into the mid 80's and keep our overnight lows in the 60's. A breeze off the Gulf of Mexico will likely hold the beach temperatures in the upper 70's to around 80 for the rest of the week. Gulf water has cooled into the upper 60's.
A pattern change is in the forecast for next week. We will start to see a few showers as arriving cold fronts are able to make it down here with a little more notice and there will be a little drop-off in temperatures as well. But again, those changes would be in store for next week. This week still looks warm and nice.
