40:16 it's not shocking honestly, this is east fort Myers, it's predominant here, we're all aware of it. Anyone who uses a computer can look it up and see how drugs are rampant. 25
so rampant-these signs don't make a difference.
sot undercover officer
26: 30 they'll do drugs in school parking lots, obviously we don't set that up, we don't tell them to go to a school they direct us there, police aren't doing that on purpose thats where they're comfortable selling drugs 42
this undercover fort myers police detective is talking about these people.
all 17 of them- busted for selling and possessing drugs.
10 of them- within 1-thousand feet of a school.
the drugs- not all that fmpd is worried about.
sot undercover officer
25: 52 it creates an air of violence because usually with drugs you're going to have violence and some of the individuals that we arrested and are will looking for have histories or pasts that includes violence so it's important for us to get those guys off the streets. 05
to do that- they need help.
sot undercover officer
29:10 some of the things that you point out to us we might be ale to build off of what you're saying and move forward to a successful prosecution of that individual 18
especially since these alleged dealers- live all over lee county.
sot undercover officer
26:56 they're doing their business in the city then they're leaving elsewhere 00
even if they leave-
the crime sometimes stays.
Making each arrest- significant.
sot undercover officer
28: 30 our hope is that it will reduce the violent crime, we'll never see the result sot our efforts because who knows we could have stopped a homicide by arresting one of these guys 3

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
Southwest Florida will see quite the change when it comes to our weekend weather as it will feature more clouds, a few showers, and chilly temperatures.
We'll see a few peaks of sun during the late morning hours, but this will be very short lived as clouds will continue to fill in across the area making for a mostly cloudy and cool afternoon with a 10-15 mph northwesterly breeze. Daytime highs will climb into the upper 60s to low 70s, which is a good 8 to 10° below the average.
Tonight, mostly cloudy skies will stay in place and with another push of cool air, overnight lows will tumble into the upper 40s by morning.
Saturday will start of quite chilly and we're not expecting much of a warm up as afternoon temperatures remain in the middle 60s. While much of day should stay dry, a couple of passing showers during the day can't be ruled out. As upper level energy rides over the peninsula, a better chance for scattered shower activity will remain in the forecast late Saturday carrying over into early Sunday morning, especially along the coast.
Clouds will stick around for the better half of our Sunday with partial clearing throughout the afternoon. After morning lows in the middle 40s, temperatures will have a hard time making it out of the lower 60s. High pressure will move in by the first of the week clearing our skies out with a slight warm up through Tuesday under mostly sunny skies.
