THE SPECIAL MEETING WAS HELD TO ADDRESS A LETTER FROM THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.

WHETHER HE INTERFERED WITH AN ACTIVE INVESTIGATION INTO TOP ADMINISTRATOR DOCTOR DEEDARA HICKS.
WHETHER HE MOVED ONE POINT SIX MILLION DOLLARS IN GRANT MONEY INTO ANOTHER FUND WITHOUT BOARD APPROVAL

Jeanie Dozier. 06:27 Did the superintendent act appropriately? Did he follow policy? 06:30
DOCTOR BURKE WAS ABSENT FROM YESTERDAY'S BOARD MEETING.

AN OFFICER PUTS HIS LIFE ON THE LINE TO CHASE DOWN A BAD GUY.

IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE THIS PEACEFUL CEMETERY IN ARCADIA WAS THE SCENE OF A BOLD ATTACK ON A POLICE OFFICER THREE MONTHS AGO.
shots fired, shots fired! I've been hit
SERGEANT LARRY GLEOCKLER MADE THAT 911 CALL NEW YEARS EVE AFTER HE CHASED TWO SUSPECTS IN THE OAK RIDGE CEMETERY.
ONE RAN OFF---THE OTHER STARTED A DANGEROUS GUN FIGHT.
07.40.50 he made a big loop, ran up toward a big tree, and he acted like he was giving up.
07.30.10 instead of raising his arms, the detective says the suspect fired three shots at the sergeant---one missed, the other hit his arm, and another hit him in the chest. It was his bullet proof vest that saved his life.
07.46.34 they couldn't have centered it more in my heart than they did, so if it wasn't for that vest, I wouldn't be here today, there's no way around that.
TODAY POINT BLANK BODY ARMOR PRESENTED SERGEANT GLEOCKLER WITH A NEW VEST, AND ALSO HONORED HIM FOR HIS BRAVERY.
THE COMPANY CURRENTLY HAS HIS OLD VEST AT A LAB---TO SEE HOW IT PERFORMED AND COLLECT ANY EVIDENCE THAT COULD HELP THE DEPARTMENT'S INVESTIGATION.
07.54.30 when something like this happens, this is the ultimate assault on an officer and it's actually an assault on the community.
LESS THAN A WEEK AFTER BEING SHOT, SERGEANT GLEOCKLER WAS OUT ON THE STREETS, PROTECTING HIS COMMUNITY---REYLING ON THE TOOLS THAT PROTECTED HIM.
07.44.56 there was no conscious effort to it, it was muscle memory, training, and a vest that kept me in the fight.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
"TURNING COLDER TONIGHT"
After a cloudy and showery start to the day, the sun finally returned during the afternoon hours as a cold front moved across Southwest Florida. Despite wall to wall sunshine, afternoon highs remained quite cool as they peaked in the lower 70s. For the remainder of the afternoon, breezy northwesterly winds will usher in another batch of cool and dry air with temperatures hovering in the middle 60s by sunset.
Tonight, skies will go mostly clear and much colder air will filter down the peninsula. This will set the stage for another chilly morning, so it's best to keep the sweaters and jackets handy. Temperatures will start off in the middle 40s here in town, with a few inland and northern cold spots sinking into the upper 30s.
After a chilly start to the day, temperatures will warm only into the lower 70s, despite sunny skies across our part of the state. Typically, we're into the upper 70s for afternoon highs, so temps. will be a bit cool as they stay 8-10° below the average. As we head into the evening hours, temperatures will begin to drop off pretty quickly under clear skies as they bottom out in the upper 40s by Friday morning.
High pressure will be in control of our weather through the upcoming weekend providing us with plenty of sunshine and a dry weather pattern. Winds will begin to shift around to the east, which will help us to warm into the upper 70s by Saturday with lower 80s in the forecast by Sunday afternoon.
As Tuesday approaches, we'll be tracking our next cold front as it slides across the state with a few showers during the day.
