FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

"Warming trend continues"

It was a warm start to the week as many spots across Southwest Florida topped out in the upper 70s to lower 80s. The warm weather will return once again for Tuesday, before another weather system increases our rain prospects. We'll also be tracking another cool down for the second half of the week.

Low clouds and fog have given way to more sunshine across the area with temperatures warming into the middle 70s by midday. Mostly to partly sunny skies will take us into the afternoon hours as daytime highs climb into the lower 80s, especially away from the coast. With an onshore wind coming off the 60° waters of the Gulf of Mexico, expect our beaches and coastal locations to run a few degrees cooler. Sea fog will also linger up and down the coast through the early afternoon.

Clouds will be patchy as we head into the overnight period and temperatures will hover in the lower 60s.

Clouds will be on the increase as we head into Wednesday ahead of a cold front currently located across the northern half of the peninsula. This system will slowly make its way southward, with scattered showers developing late Wednesday evening and into early Thursday morning. Temperatures will dip into the upper 40s to lower 50s and once the rain exits, clouds should stay pretty thick overhead during the day. This along with a breezy northerly wind will keep our afternoon temperatures in the upper 60s.

High pressure will build in for the latter half of the week with a dry and mostly sunny pattern. This cool down will be very brief in nature, as winds take a turn to the east with highs in the 80s for the weekend. Return to index of stories...

SHE EVEN HAD TO CHECK INTO THE HOSPITAL AFTER FITS OF VOMITING.

"Everyday, and then it got to a point that it got worse"

"She had tried everything, her lifestyle had changed and in fact she was seeking help from her doctor but couldn't quite turn the corner."

BUT DR. JAMES ROSSER HAD A SOLUTION FOR CAMACHO.

IT'S CALLED LINX. AND IT'S MADE UP OF TINY MAGNETS THAT WRAP AROUND YOUR ESOPHAGUS LIKE A BRACELET.

"This thing can go around the door between your stomach and your food tube -- and it can open and close just like your normal door does."

IT WORKS A LOT LIKE SURGICAL PROCEDURES THAT RESHAPE THE STOMACH AND TIGHTEN THE ESOPHAGEAL PASSAGE.

BUT THIS IS A MUCH SIMPLER PROCEDURE.

"This operation instead of 2 to 2.5 hours can take as little as 45 minutes to an hour and we don't have to change the stomach."

A 10-DAY CRUISE TO THE CARIBBEAN COMES TO AN EARLY END,

THE BIG QUESTION TODAY.

WHY DO THESE CRUISE ILLNESSES SPREAD SO FAST.

AND WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT IT.

ELIZABETH COHEN REPORTS. Return to index of stories...

CRUISE SHIP ILLNESSES-TRX PKG

ROYAL CARIBBEAN'S "EXPLORER OF THE SEAS" SHIP VOYAGE HAS BEEN CUT SHORT. THE VESSEL TO RETURN HOME EARLY TO NEW JERSEY WEDNESDAY, NOW THAT *ONE IN FIVE* OF ITS MORE THAN THREE THOUSAND PASSENGERS HAVE FALLEN SICK WITH A MYSTERY ILLNESS. A WAVE OF SICKNESS WITH SYMPTOMS SIMILAR TO THE HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS NOROVIRUS.

Under the best of circumstances, these kinds of outbreaks are bound to happen. Cruise ships are a concentration of passengers that are in a confined space where there is a lot of constant interaction and that close interaction promotes the transmission of this virus which is transmitted very readily from person to person.

TO HELP PREVENT TRANSMISSION. SICK PASSENGERS HAVE BEEN ASKED TO STAY CONFINED TO THEIR ROOMS.ENCOURAGED TO CALL FOR COMPLIMENTARY ROOM SERVICE TO STAY FED AND HYDRATED.

BACK IN THE DINING ROOM, ONE PASSENGER TELLS US THERE'S NO MORE SELF-SERVICE BUFFETS.

We are no longer allowed to touch anything. They serve us everything. They hand us our plates. They hand us our silverware. They hand us our cups, our forks, our food. You're not allowed to touch a thing.

WASHING HANDS IS CRITICAL. THE VIRUS CAN CONTAMINATE A SURFACE FOR DAYS. LANDING ON HANDS, THEN TRAVELLING TO THE MOUTH AND CAUSING INFECTION.

WHEN THE SHIP FINALLY ARRIVES HOME ON WEDNESDAY, ROYAL CARIBBEAN SAYS STAFF WILL:

"Make certain that any remaining traces of the illness are eliminated. And will additionally provide a window of more than 24 hours where there are no persons aboard the ship."

FOR THEIR CARIBBEAN CRUISE GONE WRONG, THE COMPANY SAYS PASSENGERS WILL GET A 50 PERCENT REFUND, AND A 50 PERCENT CREDIT TOWARDS THE THEIR NEXT CRUISE SHIP BOOKING. Return to index of stories...

THOSE IN THE STANDS CAUGHT IT WITH THEIR CELL PHONE CAMERAS. BUT THE FEW SECONDS TORRES GOT ON NATIONAL TV MEANT THE WORLD TO HER COUSIN GARY, WHO WAS WATCHING IN NEW MEXICO.

AS IT TURNS OUT NO ONE HAD TO BAIL HER OUT. AFTER SECURITY GUARDS CAUGHT HER, TEAM CAPTAIN DEION SANDERS HEARD HER STORY AND CAME TO THE RESCUE.

REAL VS FAKE SUPERBOWL-PKG

THESE ARE THE HOTTEST TICKETS IN TOWN RIGHT NOW. SEATS TO SUNDAY'S SUPER BOWL AND WHILE ALL OF THESE LOOK SIMILAR, WATCH OUT, TWO ARE REAL AND TWO ARE NOT.

S/ Anastasia Danias / NFL's Chief Litigation Officer:11-:20

We get hundreds of people every year who report having bought counterfeit tickets. We see them becoming more sophisticated with the improvement of printers you can buy on the open market these days.

ANASTASIA DANIAS IS CHIEF LITIGATION OFFICER FOR THE NFL. SHE SAYS LEGITIMATE TICKETS HAVE A HOLOGRAM ON THE BACK.

S/ Anastasia Danias / NFL's Chief Litigation Officer:28-:45

It actually has something called two channel artwork. So depending on the angle that you look at the hologram it will have a different image. This year, there's the Statue of Liberty on the right hand side and on the left there is a shift between the roman numerals for Super Bowl 48 or the date of the game which is 2-2-14.

ALSO IF YOU RUB OFF THE WRITING ON THE BACK OF THE TICKET, THE INK, MAGICALLY DISAPPEARS ON THE REAL THING.

S/ Anastasia Danias / NFL's Chief Litigation Officer:53-1:01

We also incorporated many covert devices that we share only with law enforcement to help them in their investigations which often lead to criminal actions as well.

WITH MERCHANDISE IT CAN BE TOUGH TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A REAL AND A FAKE. WHILE ANASTASIA SAYS THE LICENSEES ARE REQUIRED TO PUT HOLOGRAMS ON THE TAGS ON THEIR MERCHANDISE, WE SAW COUNTERFEITS WITH SOMETHING THAT LOOKS LIKE A HOLOGRAM ON THEIR TAGS. ANASTASIA WARNS TO BE CAREFUL, ESPECIALLY IF SHOPPING ON-LINE.

S/ Anastasia Danias / NFL's Chief Litigation Officer 1:20-1:34

Remember you may be getting a very high quality looking counterfeit but you are sending your credit card information to unknown sources that we have heard from fan after fan that they have been defrauded in some way or that their credit card information has been used for other purposes.
