TRACKING WARMER WEATHER

It was a chilly, raw and wet day across Southwest Florida Thursday, with plenty of rain and highs only in the upper 50s and low 60s. The steady rain will diminish to more scattered activity this evening, with near steady temps in the 50s. Rain will also be possible for the overnight, with lows holding in the 50s.

We start a nice warming trend beginning Friday. The day will feature plenty of cloud cover, with scattered showers possible and highs climbing into the mid 70s. Overnight lows will not be as cool, with temps holding in the low 60s.

Sunshine returns to the area on Saturday. We'll see partly sunny skies for much of the day, but the sun that we do see will allow temps to climb into the low 80s.

Sunday will feature a heavy dose of sun, with partly cloudy skies and highs again climbing into the low 80s.

Our dry & warm weather pattern holds as we start next week, with partly cloudy skies and highs holding in the low to mid 80s. A few sprinkles will be possible midweek, otherwise dry will prevail for most of next week. Return to index of stories...
