6:02 FIRST ALERT FORECAST ON THE 2'S-WX WALL

After starting this Sunday morning with some clouds and a little fog, expect increasing sunshine into the afternoon as drier, slightly cooler air filters into Southwest Florida.

Clouds will gradually thin out from north to south by the mid to late morning, so those of us father south across Collier County will hang on to the cloud cover a bit longer; all of should enjoy plenty of sunshine through the afternoon, though.

This afternoon will be noticeably less humid, and temperatures will be a little cooler than yesterday with daytime highs reaching the mid to upper 70s.

With a mainly clear sly in place tonight, temperatures will become a little cool this evening into Monday morning as lows drop into the mid to upper 50s.

Monday and Tuesday will be a spectacular weather double header across Southwest Florida, featuring plenty of sunshine, comfortable humidity and daytime highs around 80 degrees.

After starting off with lows in the upper 50s again Tuesday morning, temps get a little boost Wednesday as afternoon highs warm into the low 80s.

We'll also be tracking a rise in our rain chances late Wednesday into Thursday as a disturbance swings in from the Gulf of Mexico, bringing in more cloud cover and scattered rain through Thursday.

Things look to clear up for us by Friday, which should end up being mostly sunny with highs around 80 degrees.

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA. Return to index of stories...

6:42 FIRST ALERT FORECAST ON THE 2'S-WX WALL
