FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

"Great weather continues"

What a way to start the week! Lots of sunshine, low humidity, and afternoon highs in the low 80s. Our nice weather pattern will hold in place for the next day or two, with increasing rain chances by late Wednesday.

After a cool and comfortable start to the day, temperatures will continue to climb throughout the afternoon as they top out in the lower 80s. Due to the seabreeze, our coastal and beach locations will be a few degrees cooler. This afternoon, just a few clouds will mix in with our sunshine and humidity levels will be tolerable, making for a pleasant day across Southwest Florida.

Tonight, mostly clear skies will continue and temperatures won't be quite as cool as they settle into the lower 60s area wide.

The area of high pressure that has controlled our weather will begin to weaken and as a result rain chances will be on the rise. We'll keep a mix of sun and clouds in the forecast on Wednesday with temperatures climbing into the lower 80s. A few afternoon showers will also be possible as they push deeper inland through the day. Another storm system to our west will aim more moisture toward the Florida peninsula, with scattered showers and storms developing late Wednesday night and into early Thursday morning. In the wake of this frontal passage, a much cooler and drier airmass will settle across the state. Some forecast models are hinting at overnight lows in the middle 40s by Friday morning, with highs in the low 70s during the day. This will set the stage for a beautiful weekend with lots of sunshine and low humidity. Return to index of stories...

--REPORTER PKG-AS FOLLOWS--

IT WAS AN EMOTIONAL DAY IN COURT AS JURORS SAW AUTOPSY PHOTOS AND THE BLOOD-STAINED CLOTHES WORN BY 17-YEAR-OLD JORDAN DAVIS THE NIGHT HE WAS SHOT AND DIED.

THE PROSECUTION'S FINAL WITNESS - A FORMER ASSOCIATE MEDICAL EXAMINER WHO DETAILED THE PATH OF THE BULLET THAT KILLED THE TEENAGER IN NOVEMBER OF 2012.

"Over here it perforated the right lung and continued on beyond the heart and in front of the spinal column to perforate the aorta."

PROSECUTORS SAY 47-YEAR-OLD MICHAEL DUNN OPENED FIRE ON DAVIS AND THREE FRIENDS DURING AN ARGUMENT OVER LOUD MUSIC OUTSIDE THIS JACKSONVILLE GAS STATION.

DUNN CLAIMS HE FIRED THE SHOTS IN SELF- DEFENSE-telling police that he thought he saw a gun

INVESTIGATORS DIDN'T FIND A GUN IN THE TEEN'S SUV.

IN HER TESTIMONY, THE MEDICAL EXAMINER SAID EVIDENCE SHOWS DAVIS WAS LEANING AWAY FROM THE DOOR AND NOT TOWARD DUNN, as the defense suggests, DURING THE SHOOTING.

JORDAN'S FATHER, RONALD DAVIS, TOLD THE JURY ABOUT THE EMOTIONAL VISIT HE GOT FROM THE TEENS WHO WERE WITH HIS SON WHEN HE DIED.

"The boys were just so sorry that my son was killed and they were trying to console me."

DUNN'S FAMILY AND FRIENDS… TOOK THE STAND FOR THE DEFENSE - DESCRIBING THE SOFTWARE DEVELOPER AS A MILD, KIND HEARTED MAN

"Are you aware of Mr Dunn's reputation for peacefulness?"

"Yes, very nice guy."

"Never have I observed anything other than a very calm demeanor.

"I've always thought he was a gentle man.

IT'S UNCLEAR IF DUNN HIMSELF WILL TAKE THE STAND. AN ATTORNEY REPRESENTING THE DAVIS FAMILY BELIEVES HE WILL TESTIFY.

WE'RE LEARNING MORE ABOUT THE PRIVATE PAPERS OF A HILLARY CLINTON CONFIDANTE

SCRIPT:

For decades -- Diane Blair kept a diary chronicling in great detail her

close friendship with the former first lady, right up until Blair's death in

2000 -- but it remained under seal for years -- and was reported for

the first time Monday by the conservative website Washington Free Beacon.

Blair's diary portrays Mrs. Clinton as a hard-nosed political operative who

is, quote ".in despair that nobody in the WH tough and mean

enough." PAGE 14

The papers DESCRIBE personal conversations Blair writes that she had with

Mrs. Clinton during her time in the White House -- OFFERING new insight into

Hillary Clinton's mindset immediately after Bill Clinton admitted to having

an affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

NATS BILL CLINTON- Indeed I did have a relationship with Miss Lewinsky that

was not appropriate, in fact it was wrong.

"It was a lapse, but she says to his credit he tried to break it off,

tried to pull away, tried to manage someone who was clearly a "narcissistic

loony toon"; but it was beyond control."

Blair also writes about Mrs. Clinton's frustration with critics who called

her too aggressive and too political:

"I'm a proud woman," Blair quotes Mrs. Clinton saying in 1996. "I

know it confuses people when I change my hairdos, I know I should pretend

not to have any opinions, but I'm not going to. I gave up my name, got

contact lenses, but I'm not going to pretend to be somebody that I'm not." Return to index of stories...

WEATHER-WX WALL
