FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

After a chilly start to our Friday morning, temperatures stay quite comfortable through the day with afternoon highs around 70 degrees along with wall to wall sunshine.

Our humidity levels will stay low, and we'll have a nice northeasterly breeze at 5-10 mph.

Rain will stay out of our forecast today and through the weekend, so the weather will work out beautifully for any outdoor plans.

For this evening and tonight, temperatures will be a little on the cool side but not quite as chilly as last night. After sunset, temps will fall into the mid to low 60s for most of the evening and then into the mid to upper 50s after midnight.

We'll start off the weekend with lows between 50-55 on Saturday morning with the cooler spots deep inland. Saturday is shaping up to be another beautiful day with a mostly sunny sky and daytime highs about five degrees warmer at 75.

Winds will also ramp up a bit Saturday with stiff breeze out of the northwest from 10-20 mph.

A reinforcing shot of cool air will bring our morning lows into the upper 40s early Sunday, but we'll warm up nicely by the afternoon with tons of sun and temps in the mid 70s.

Temperatures start to rebound as we go through the upcoming week. We're back in the 80s by Monday afternoon, and that's where we'll stay for the remainder of the week. In fact, for the second half of the week, highs should manage to climb into the mid 80s with morning lows only dropping into the mid 60s.

By Thursday and Friday of next week, there should be enough moisture to produce some isolated downpours, but most of these will form away from the beaches and over the interior part of the peninsula. Until then, our rain chances stay incredibly low, so we'll enjoy a dry stretch of weather for the next several days. Return to index of stories...

JUST 86 CENTS.CYNTHIA CORRIGAN BOUGHT HERSELF A FRIED BURRITO AT THE STRIPES CONVENIENCE STORE OFF LAMESA AND WADLEY IN MIDLAND.

"I just wanted to stop by and get one, I hadn't had one in i don't know how long. I couldn't wait."

BUT SHE GOT MORE THAN SHE BARGAINED FOR AFTER A FEW BITES.

"I was using taco sauce and when I was looking at my burrito to put it in that's when i noticed the little blue speck in there."

SHE THOUGHT IT WAS A PIECE OF FOIL.BUT THIS IS WHAT SHE PULLED OUT.

"I didn't even know what to expect at that point what was coming out of there you know it was so gross."

CYNTHIA SAYS THAT BLUE SPECK TURNED OUT TO BE THE FINGER OF A LATEX GLOVE.

"It was nauseating. I kinda yelled and my boss came and asked me what was wrong."

"Luckily no finger in it.".

CYNTHIA IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE STORE AND SPOKE WITH THE MANAGER WHO TOLD HER THE BURRITOS COME FROM A VENDOR.

"They just fry them at their store locally so nothing is done here to prepare them."

STILL.THE MANAGER TOLD HER TO CALL THE CORPORATE OFFICES AND SHE DID.

"I filled out my incident report and he refunded my money for the one burrito."

WE ALSO REACHED OUT TO STRIPES AND THEY TELL US THE BURRITO WAS PREPACKAGE GOOD SUPPLIED BY A THIRD PARTY VENDOR AND WHAT HAPPENED WAS UNACCEPTABLE.

THE COMPANY SAYS ALTHOUGH THEY BELIEVE THIS IS AN ISOLATED INCIDENT, THEY'VE REMOVED ALL RELATED PRODUCT AND HAVE NOTIFIED THE VENDOR.

CYNTHIA SAYS SHE ISN'T LOOKING FOR ANY FREEBIES.SHE JUST WANTS SOMEONE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.

"It could've been someone with an allergy to latex, it could've been a child eating it and possibly choked on it. Numerous things could've happened and i guess im just glad it was me."

SO WILL SHE GO BACK?

"Maybe for a soda but not food."

EVEN THOUGH IT WASN'T A GOOD EXPERIENCE.CYNTHIA SAYS SHE'S HAPPY WITH HOW IT'S BEING HANDLED.

YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO HELP POLICE AND EARN SOME MONEY IN THE PROCESS.

TRISH ROUTTE WITH SOUTHWEST FLORIDA CRIME STOPPERS IS HERE WITH A NEW LIST OF BAD PEOPLE. Return to index of stories...

FUGITIVE FRIDAY-5 SS

Starting off our list is a Lee County man who was arrested for his first felony

just a few days before his 10th

wanted for violating terms of his probation following an arrest for robbery. That

first arrest for burglary didn't seem to deter Jones much, with subsequent arrests

at age 13 for another break in, and a long list of charges as an adult. Jones'

dossier includes arrests for several counts of aggravated assault, armed robbery,

numerous theft charges, as well as drugs and the possession of a weapon by

a convicted felon. Though he was last known to be living in central Fort Myers,

Jones has strong connections to the Suncoast community of North Fort Myers.

Jones is 6'3", 210 pounds and has several tattoos, including a star on his left

hand and a gunshot wound inked on his inner thigh. Upon his arrest, Jones will

be held without bond in the Lee County Jail.

birthday. Joshua Jones, now 24, is currently

And next up is Jennifer Saladin, who we profiled here on Fugitive Friday three

weeks ago to the day, and was arrested two days later on a Crime Stoppers

tip, and now is back out and facing a new warrant for her arrest. Saladin is now

wanted for violating her drug offender probation for 2 counts of burglary, 2 counts

of grand theft and 2 counts of providing false information to a pawn broker.

This 25 year old fugitive is a criminal registrant, with seven bookings under her

belt already. Among her illegal actions have been charges of fraud, loitering

and prowling, and those previous burglary and grand theft charges. Saladin

is 5'2", 130 pounds and has numerous tattoos, including the name Josette on

her left wrist, a music note on her neck and the name Robby on her chest. An

anonymous tip put her behind bars three weeks ago… so let's hope for the result

this weekend.

And in Collier County, detectives are on the hunt for a man accused of the

heinous crime of molesting two young girls. Jose Soto-Hernandez has gone

into hiding since the two charges of lewd and lascivious molestation were levied

against him. According to detectives, Hernandez was an authority figure to the

young girls, however imploded that trust when he allegedly molested them. This

300 pound, 27 year old fugitive has a history of drug use, burglary and grand

theft, but these latest charges definitely trump any crimes he's committed in the

past. Hernandez, who also uses the alias of Angel Soto and the street name of

"Toro," was last known to be living in Immokalee, and could be moving around

amongst various homeless shelters in the area.

And rounding out our list are two brothers who decided to embark on a life of

crime side by side. 18 year old Dequentin Thomas, and his older brother

Devonte, are wanted for failing to show up in court following an arrest for

burglary, grand theft and resisting officers. According to detectives, a witness

spotted the duo breaking into a neighbor's home, and called 9-1-1. Deputies

were able to track the two down a short time later, still in possession of the X-Box

gaming console, HP tablet, laptop computer and other items stolen during the

burglary. After being released from jail five days later, the two were supposed

to show up in court to explain their side of the story, however to this day, they're

still keeping their distance from the courthouse. Devonte and Dequentin were

last known to be living in Lehigh, and upon their arrest, the two will both be held

without bond. Return to index of stories...

PRESCRIPTION DRUGS COST-OC

NEW NUMBERS ON THE MEDICAL FRONT AT MIDDAY.

DID YOU KNOW - ABOUT 70 PERCENT OF AMERICANS TAKE PRESCRIPTION DRUGS?

AS YOU'RE ABOUT TO SEE - ONE MAN GOT ANGRY, WHEN HE FOUND OUT HOW WILDLY DIFFERENT THE PRICES CAN BE FROM ONE PHARMACY TO THE NEXT.

BILL SPENCER REPORTS. Return to index of stories...

PRESCRIPTION DRUGS COST-CLIP PKG

IT'S A MORNING RITUAL FOR GEORGE TURNER AND JUDY TURNER,. TAKING THEIR MEDICINE.

NOBODY LOVES IT, BUT GEORGE GOT DOWNRIGHT ANGRY WHEN HE FOUND OUT HOW WILDLY THE PRICE FOR THOSE MEDICATIONS CAN VARY.

IT ALL STARTED WHEN HE WENT TO PICK UP HIS WIFE'S PRESCRIPTION FOR LOSARTAN, A BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICINE. FOR TWO YEARS, THE COUPLE HAD BEEN PAYING $35 FOR A 90-DAY SUPPLY AT LIFE DRUGS.

BUT THIS TIME, JUDY TURNER'S DOCTOR ORDERED THE PRESCRIPTION AT WALMART BY MISTAKE.

"And when I walked into Walmart to get the prescription, she said, 'That will be $160.08,' and I said, 'You have to be kidding.' That's more than four times what we've been paying."

WHAT GEORGE TURNER DISCOVERED IS ONE OF THE SECRETS OF THE PHARMACEUTICAL DRUG INDUSTRY: HOW THE PRICES FOR THE SAME DRUG CAN BE DIFFERENT FROM ONE PHARMACY TO TO THE NEXT.

"It really varies based on prices the prices they have to pay their wholesalers, and where they get the medicine from." Return to index of stories...

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

patchy clouds very late tonight, and during the first half of tomorrow. However, rain

chances with this weak front look very low. High pressure will follow with a return to

sunnier skies during Saturday afternoon.and a dry, sunny pattern for Sunday and

Monday, Presidents' Day. Long range computer models project this new high

pressure thats coming over the weekend - may stay to control our local weather

for much of next week. Mostly sunny and warmer 80s are expected Tuesday
