CRAIGSLIST KILLER-trxPKG

"She kind of floored me."

MIRANDA BARBOUR. A SELF PROCLAIMED SATANIST SAYS SHE LOST COUNT AFTER KILLING TWENTY TWO PEOPLE.

AND TROY LAFERRARA. THE SELINSGROVE MAN SHE CLAIMS IS HER MOST RECENT VICTIM. COULD HAVE LIVED. BUT HE SAID THE WRONG THING.

THE CONFESSION CAME OUT DURING A CHILLING JAILHOUSE INTERVIEW WITH FRANCIS SCARCELLA. A NEWSPAPER REPORTER IN SUNBURY.

"She did say during the interview that it's a lot to hear and I mean there's times where I stuttered."

SCARCELLA SPENT HIS VALENTINES DAY WITH BARBOUR. WHERE SHE TOLD HIM SHE'S KILLED PEOPLE IN ALASKA, TEXAS, NORTH CAROLINA, AND CALIFORNIA. AS PART OF A SATANIC CULT.

"She was very well spoken, very mild mannered, very polite. She was very polite and she was very just soft very soft and she never hesitated in anything she said."

BARBOUR SAYS SHE PICKED LAFERRARA UP AFTER HE RESPONDED TO A CRAIGSLIST AD FOR SEX. SHE CLAIMS SHE TOLD HIM THAT SHE WAS 16. WHEN HE SAID, "THAT'S OKAY." IT SET HER OFF. AND THAT'S WHEN SHE CLAIMS SHE STABBED HIM.

ACCORDING TO POLICE. TROY LAFERRARA WAS STABBED 20 TIMES.

BUT WHAT SCARCELLA SAYS WAS MOST DISTURBING ABOUT THE INTERVIEW. IS THAT BARBOUR SAYS SHE WOULD KILL AGAIN.

"You can take everything else she said in the interview and you can take all the numbers she threw out, but the more surprising thing was that she said if she got out she would do it again." Return to index of stories...

FORECAST-WXWALL

WX RUNDOWN:

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

Despite the chilly start, we've got a very pleasant and mild day on the way with temperatures warming into the mid 70s by the afternoon. As a much drier air mass invades Southwest Florida behind yesterday's front, we'll keep clear and sunny skies from start to finish.

Winds will also ease up a bit compared to yesterday. The breeze will come in from the north and northwest today between 5-15 mph.

Temperatures will be a bit warmer tonight, but we'll still be on the cool side with lows dropping into the low 50s and upper 40s by early Monday morning.

As we head into the upcoming week, we've got a phenomenal forecast in store for Southwest Florida.

Sunshine will be prevalent this week, particularly Monday through Wednesday, and we won't have any rain in the forecast all the way through the end of the week.

Temperatures will be the main focus through the second half of the week as daytime highs climb all the way to the mid 80s from Wednesday into the upcoming weekend, setting up a stretch of some unseasonably warm weather across Southwest Florida.
