DUNN TRIAL REACTION-ONCAM

THE VERDICT OF FLORIDA'S SO-CALLED "LOUD MUSIC MURDER TRIAL" IS A BIG TALKER, TONIGHT.

BUT IT DIDN'T OFFER THE CLOSURE MANY EXPECTED.

THE JURY WAS DEADLOCKED ON A FIRST-DEGREE MURDER CHARGE AGAINST MICHAEL DUNN.

THE JURY HOWEVER DID DECIDE DUNN WAS GUILTY ON LESSER CHARGES.

CHARGES THAT COULD PUT DUNN BEHIND BARS FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE.

BRIAN MOOAR HAS THE LATEST FROM WASHINGTON. Return to index of stories...

ON JORDAN DAVIS'S BIRTHDAY.

HIS COMMUNITY DEMANDED A NEW TRIAL - AND A FULL VERDICT ON THE 17-YEAR-OLD'S KILLING.

"That you will not kill our black boys and get away with it."

HOURS EARLIER. A JURY WAS UNABLE TO REACH A VERDICT ON A MURDER CHARGE FOR DEFENDANT MICHAEL DUNN.

A BLOW TO THE VICTIM'S FAMILY.

"And we will continue to wait for justice for Jordan."

INSTEAD. DUNN WAS FOUND GUILTY OF THREE COUNTS OF *ATTEMPTED* MURDER FOR SHOOTING AT DAVIS AND THREE FRIENDS IN A PARKING LOT DISPUTE OVER LOUD MUSIC BACK IN NOVEMBER 2012.

"He showed a gun and he was threatening me."

"BANG BANG BANG" - "Oh my God - somebody's shooting!"

DUNN'S FIANCÉ - SEEN IN THIS SURVEILLANCE VIDEO - TESTIFIED FOR THE PROSECUTION THAT DUNN DIDN'T MENTION A GUN THAT NIGHT.

AND POLICE NEVER FOUND A GUN.

MUCH LIKE THE KILLING OF TRAYVON MARTIN.

THIS CASE HAS RAISED QUESTIONS ABOUT RACE, JUSTICE. AND FLORIDA'S STAND YOUR GROUND LAW.

"We will not rest until we get the type of justice we deserve, Lord!"

THOUGH DUNN ALREADY FACES 60 YEARS BEHIND BARS.

PROSECUTORS SAY THEY'RE GOING TO RETRY THE CASE.

SENTENCING ON THE ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGES IS SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 24th.

FORECAST-WXWALL

WX RUNDOWN:

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

Despite the chilly start, we've got a very pleasant and mild day on the way with temperatures warming into the mid 70s by the afternoon. As a much drier air mass invades Southwest Florida behind yesterday's front, we'll keep clear and sunny skies from start to finish.

Winds will also ease up a bit compared to yesterday. The breeze will come in from the north and northwest today between 5-15 mph.

Temperatures will be a bit warmer tonight, but we'll still be on the cool side with lows dropping into the low 50s and upper 40s by early Monday morning.

As we head into the upcoming week, we've got a phenomenal forecast in store for Southwest Florida.

Sunshine will be prevalent this week, particularly Monday through Wednesday, and we won't have any rain in the forecast all the way through the end of the week.

Temperatures will be the main focus through the second half of the week as daytime highs climb all the way to the mid 80s from Wednesday into the upcoming weekend, setting up a stretch of some unseasonably warm weather across Southwest Florida.
