VICTORY -- JUST AS SWEET THE SECOND TIME AROUND.

Sawicki

38:45-38:49 "Excited. Elated. And relieved. "

BUT THOSE FEELINGS MAY BE SHORT LIVED.

David Carr, Sued Sawicki

29:47-30:00

"I felt that she was a little harsh that our case had no merit. We had statues that were broken, election law that was not followed black and white, I felt that issue was glossed over in their determination."

DAVID CARR RAN FOR MAYOR IN NOVEMBER.

HE ALSO SUED SAWICKI -- HE SAYS THIS ISNT OVER.

David Carr, Sued Sawicki

30:14-30:23 "Possibly an appeal to bring the decision up to the state Supreme Court. ""So an appeal is a possibility?""more than likely. "

SAWICKI SAYS SHES NOT WORRIED.

39:34-39:44 "That's their prerogative and the way I look at it, it's costing them about 100 thousand dollars right now and if the process goes through we'll just continue adding that to that bill. "

LEE COUNTY JUDGE ALANE LABODA CALLED SULLIVAN'S CLAIMS OF A FIXED ELECTION -

MERITLESS.

THE VOTES JUST SIMPLY WEREN'T THERE.

Sawicki

39:46-39:52 "There was not one thing that they presented that showed any fraud."

THE JUDGE RULED SULLIVAN'S TEAM MUST PAY ATTORNEY FEES.

THAT AMOUNT WILL BE DECIDED AT A FUTURE HEARING.

AS FOR SULLIVAN.

A GOOD DEED -

FOR SOMEONE WHO TURNED OUT TO BE A VERY BAD KID.

13:49 13:54

This could happen to anybody and we were just at the wrong place at

the wrong time

RAMIRO PEREZ WAS WITH HIS COWORKER AT THIS PENNY SAVER IN FORT

MYERS THREE WEEKS AGO-

WHEN A SIXTEEN YEAR OLD, WALKING IN THE RAIN, ASKED THEM FOR A RIDE HOME.

PEREZ FELT BAD AND AGREED -

A MILE DOWN THE ROAD HE THOUGHT IT COULD BE THE LAST DRIVE OF HIS LIFE.

15:45 15:48

He pulls out the gun and he slams it on my head

16:37 16:41

I was just literally waiting for the bullet to blow my head off

POLICE SAY THIS TEEN - ADRIAN MANGUAL-AYALA - WAS HOLDING THE GUN -

AND IF YOU TAKE ONE LOOK AT HIS MUG SHOT, IT'S CLEAR THOSE MEN

DIDN'T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THE CRIME.

17:46 17:52

We gave him the beating that he deserved and that was very little to

what he could have you know easily done to both of us

THEY WERE ABLE TO GET THE GUN OUT OF HIS HAND -

AND THE TEEN OUT OF THEIR CAR.

25:12 25:16

He had this crazy hair so I just grabbed him by the hair and I started

punching him in the head

EVEN SLAMMING HIM AGAINST THE CAR -

WHICH HAS THE DENTS TO PROVE IT.

FINALLY, PINNING HIM TO THE GROUND, UNTIL POLICE ARRIVED.

20:04 20:05

We turned the tables on him

ORGINALLY CHARGED AS A JUVENILE -

THE TEEN WILL NOW BE TRIED AS AN ADULT.

HE MADE HIS FIRST APPEARANCE BEFORE A JUDGE THIS MORNING.

20:45 20:51

We need to send a message out to these little thugs you just can't go

out committing such heinous crimes and think you're gonna get away

with it

PEREZ IS HOPING A JUDGE WILL GIVE HIM THE PUNISHMENT HE DESERVES -

BEYOND THE BLACK EYE.

FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

RAIN CHANCES RETURN

Our stretch of great weather continued into Thursday, with a blend of sun & clouds and highs in the 80s. Expect a mild and humid evening, with temps only falling into the 70s. Patchy fog may once again develop overnight, with lows in the mid 60s

Changes are ahead as we enter Friday. A cool front will plow into North Florida. The front doesn't make it into our area, but it will transport more moisture into the region. The result will be a lot more cloud cover and scattered rain chances. The best chance for rain will be in the afternoon areas east of I-75. Highs on Friday will be in the low 80s.

The increased moisture stays in place for Saturday. We'll keep partly sunny skies to a blend of sun & clouds. Again, a few scattered showers will be possible inland. Highs on Saturday will climb into the mid 80s.

Sunday features more sunshine and lower rain chances. Expect partly cloudy conditions to close the weekend, with just an isolated rain chance. Highs will again be in the mid 80s.

Next week still looks fairly warm with a chance of showers. Monday and Tuesday are still expected to feature partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers possible. Expect highs both days in the low 80s.

Rain chances will increase midweek as the frontal boundary finally begins to push into Southwest Florida. We'll close out next week with temps in the upper 70s to low 80s. Return to index of stories...
