5:02 FORECAST ON THE 2'S-WX WALL

Today's Weather Story

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

ANOTHER SUNNY, WARM DAY

Our Thursday morning is off to a mild start and temperatures will be climbing through the day. Afternoon highs will be near 80 at the beaches to the mid 80s inland. We'll see lots of sunshine today with just a few fair weather clouds. Winds will be from the southeast around 10-15 mph with gusts near 20 mph with the sea breeze coming in to the beaches during the afternoon hours.

For Friday, more cloud cover will arrive as a front pushes its way toward the area. We could even see a couple of showers during the afternoon hours, but the best chance for that shower activity will be in the inland areas. We'll be a couple of degrees cooler on Friday due to the cloud cover.

That front will likely stall just to our north. Then through the weekend it will stay just north of us, but will wobble north and south a bit. Since it now looks like that front will stay north of us, our weekend weather pans out ok. We'll have highs in the mid 80s and lows in the mid and upper 60s. We'll see partly to mostly sunny skies with only a stray shower. It now looks like our better rain chance waits until the middle of next week. Return to index of stories...

5:32 FORECAST ON THE 2'S-WX WALL

WOMEN AND WEIGHT LOSS-PLASMA VO

ok ladies.is this you.

.you WATCH yOUR DIET AND still GAIN WEIGHT; but your best friend eats whatever she wants and is thin???

SOME OF US JUST BURN CALORIES FASTER THAN OTHERS GENERALLY SPEAKING STUDIES SHOW WOMEN BURN CALORIES SLOWER THAN MEN;

but RECENT RESEARCH SHOWED THAT ONE REASON MAY BE AN ENZYME.

TWO OTHER BODILY CHEMICALS MAKE IT WORSE AS WOMEN AGE; WHEN THEY'RE YOUNG; HIGH LEVELS OF THE HORMONE ESTROGEN HELP WOMEN'S BODIES BURN FAT;

AS THEY AGE AND ESTROGEN DROPS THEY DON'T BURN AS MANY CALORIES; AND THE FAT HOLDING ENZYME GETS EVEN MORE ACTIVE Return to index of stories...
