Emily Loveall/7:13:07 "I think it's just the secret behind it, who are they talking to? what are they talking about?"

NBC-2 TRACKED DOWN THE CHAIRMAN OF THE SCHOOL BOARD TO SEE WHAT THEY'RE DOING TO ADDRESS IT - AND WHY THE 24-YEAR-OLD TEACHER WAS ALLOWED BACK IN A CLASSROOM AFTER HE WAS DISCIPLINED FOR "INAPPROPRIATE" COMMENTS MADE ON FACEBOOK JUST LAST YEAR.

CHAIRMAN PAT CARROL SAYS "IN REGARDS TO THE TEACHER, PERSONNEL ISSUES ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF SUPERINTENDENT KAMELA PATTON."

BUT NBC-2 HAS YET TO HEAR FROM HER.

AS FAR AS "KIK" GOES - SHE SAYS THE PROTECTION OF STUDENTS IS PARAMOUNT - AND THEY ARE LOOKING TO SEE IF TIGHTER POLICIES MIGHT BE WARRANTED FOR FUTURE INCIDENTS LIKE THIS ONE.

FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

RAIN CHANCES RETURN

Our stretch of great weather continued into Thursday, with a blend of sun & clouds and highs in the 80s. Expect a mild and humid evening, with temps only falling into the 70s. Patchy fog may once again develop overnight, with lows in the mid 60s

Changes are ahead as we enter Friday. A cool front will plow into North Florida. The front doesn't make it into our area, but it will transport more moisture into the region. The result will be a lot more cloud cover and scattered rain chances. The best chance for rain will be in the afternoon areas east of I-75. Highs on Friday will be in the low 80s.

The increased moisture stays in place for Saturday. We'll keep partly sunny skies to a blend of sun & clouds. Again, a few scattered showers will be possible inland. Highs on Saturday will climb into the mid 80s.

Sunday features more sunshine and lower rain chances. Expect partly cloudy conditions to close the weekend, with just an isolated rain chance. Highs will again be in the mid 80s.

Next week still looks fairly warm with a chance of showers. Monday and Tuesday are still expected to feature partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers possible. Expect highs both days in the low 80s.

Rain chances will increase midweek as the frontal boundary finally begins to push into Southwest Florida. We'll close out next week with temps in the upper 70s to low 80s. Return to index of stories...
