FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

MORE WARMTH FOR THE WEEKEND

We've closed the work week with plenty of cloud cover courtesy of a frontal system in North Florida. A few showers will be possible early this evening, with temps holding in the 70s. Fog may again develop inland overnight, with mild lows in the upper 60s.

We will start the weekend Saturday on a somewhat cloudy note. The front will stay north of the area, but will provide enough moisture for clouds and possible a few showers inland. Temps stay warm Saturday, with highs in the mid 80s.

Clouds diminish for Sunday, with partly cloudy skies expected. A very isolated shower is possible, but most areas will stay dry. Highs on Sunday again climb into the mid 80s.

The warmth and the humidity stays in place to start next week. We open Monday with partly cloudy skies and again a chance of a very isolated shower. Highs on Monday again will be in the mid 80s.

Tuesday will be a repeat of Monday, with partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid 80s.

The frontal boundary finally pushes towards Southwest Florida mid to late week. It will bring more clouds and rain showers to the area. Right now, the best chance for rain looks to be late Wednesday into early Thursday.

Temps will cool to close out next week, with highs only in the low 70s. Return to index of stories...
