ZAC REYNA FAMILY

7:09:21-7:09:25

Danny Rayna

"Awareness is a big deal that we want educate everyone about because

it's just something we knew nothing about."

FOCUS: the Reyna family is still spreading their message of awareness

about the deadly brain eating amoeba.

They spent the weekend talking to people in LaBelle at the Swamp

Cabbage Festival.

It took the life of Zac Reyna last year.

Relatives said he got the amoeba from knee boarding in a water filled

ditch inside his home.

There's now a website set up for people to learn symptoms and ways to provide.

During their quest of making people aware of what's out there,

relatives are also helping the youth with the Zac's Friendship House.

That's another way for the family to make people aware of the amoeba

and provide a place for students to study and do homework. Return to index of stories...

FORECAST-WXWALL

All the necessary ingredients are in place for another round of fog tonight into early Monday morning. Visibility will become quite poor for most of Southwest Florida as early as midnight and lasting through the mid morning hours Monday.

Once all the fog lifts Monday morning, we'll be in store for another warm and humid day with temperatures returning to the 80s; coastal communities will top out around 80 while areas away from the beaches and deep inland could get as warm as the mid to upper 80s.

Even with lots of warmth and humidity in place, rain won't be much of an issue through our Monday. Just a few spotty downpours will develop during the afternoon, but these will primarily target our inland areas.

Fog will be an issue once again Monday night into Tuesday morning, and then we'll be treated to partly sunny and warm weather through our Tuesday as daytime highs soar back into the low to mid 80s.

Clouds will become more plentiful Wednesday as a cool front shifts into Southwest Florida, and we'll even see the possibility for some scattered rain late Wednesday into early Thursday.

Forecast models hint at our weather staying pretty unsettled through Friday as another round of moisture flows in from the Gulf, resulting in higher rain chances and more cloud cover.

Temperatures will be a touch cooler by Thursday and Friday with highs in the mid 70s and lows possibly dropping into the upper 50s.

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA. Return to index of stories...
