FORECAST ON THE 2'S-WX WALL

"Tranquil weather continues"

It was a beautiful weekend across Southwest Florida, with cool mornings and warm afternoons. A quiet weather pattern will remain in place over the next few days, before another storm system enhances the rainfall potential by late in the week.

Our morning won't be as cool as most of us will start the day in the middle 50s to lower 60s. Due to light winds overnight and a bump in our humidity levels, patchy fog will be a concern around sunrise, especially across our inland communities. Once the fog mixes out, mostly sunny conditions will be in command of our skies. It will also be another unseasonably warm day with afternoon temperatures climbing into the lower to middle 80s away from the coast. A late day gulf breeze will keep our beaches a few degrees cooler in the upper 70s to 80°.

With high humidity tonight and temperatures expected to settle into the lower half of the 60s, we'll more than likely see another round of patchy fog by early tomorrow morning.

High pressure will continue to migrate east Tuesday and Wednesday. As a result, our days will stay warm with highs in the middle 80s. Our wind flow will begin to turn more southerly, allowing more moisture to move in across the peninsula keeping overnight temperatures in the middle 60s. A mainly dry weather pattern will stay in place through Wednesday, with showers and storms being a good bet by Thursday as another storm system moves across the northern gulf coast region. Once the rain exits by early Friday, expect clearing skies and a slight cool down heading into next weekend. Return to index of stories...

5:32 FORECAST ON THE 2'S-WX WALL

Today's Weather Story

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA. Return to index of stories...
