JANICK MEDICAL GROUP IN PORT CHARLOTTE - WHERE KREEGEL USED TO PRACTICE MEDICINE - CLAIMS THE FORMER FLORIDA REPRESENTATIVE NOT ONLY DIDN'T NOTIFY HIS PATIENTS HE WAS LEAVING, BUT THAT HE ALSO DIDN'T TELL HIS COLLEAGUES.

THE PRACTICE CLAIMS KREEGEL LEFT HIS PATIENTS' MEDICAL RECORDS BEHIND - HULTGREN SAYS SHE'S BEEN TRYING FOR MONTHS TO GET THEM FROM JANICK MEDICAL GROUP - SO FAR, SHE'S OBTAINED JUST 26 PAGES DATING BACK TO ONLY LAST YEAR.

Samantha Hultgren, Former Kreegel patient "I just couldn't believe that he would not let us know and that we couldn't access us our medical records."

KREEGEL FLAT OUT DENIES JANICK MEDICAL GROUP'S CLAIMS.

HE CHOSE NOT TO INTERVIEW ON CAMERA WITH NBC2 TODAY, BUT SENT US THIS STATEMENT INSTEAD:

IT READS, QUOTE "My departure from Janick and associates was at the behest of the owner, Dr. Janick, after he saw that I had filed to run for public office."

HE GOES ON TO SAY THAT THE PRACTICE "immediately assumed the care of patients and retained their records" AND THAT A SUSPENSION NOTICE WAS PLACED IN THE LOCAL PAPER IN CHARLOTTE COUNTY, THE "CHARLOTTE SUN."

"I did not see anything in the paper… I was told he did put a notice in the paper… maybe I was away at that time or just didn't notice it."

WE TRIED TAKING KREEGEL'S STATEMENTS BACK TO JANICK MEDICAL GROUP FOR COMMENT, BUT OUR CALLS WERE NOT RETURNED.

MEANWHILE, HULTGREN IS LOOKING FOR A NEW DOCTOR, EVEN THOUGH SHE DOESN'T WANT TO - FOR 20 PLUS YEARS, SHE SAYS KREEGEL TOOK CARE OF HER - AND HOPES JANICK MEDICAL WILL PROVIDE HER WITH THE REST OF HER MEDICAL RECORDS SHE WAS PROMISED.

FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL

MORE SUNSHINE TOMORROW

The weather pattern will continue to bring quiet weather to southwest Florida tomorrow. The only real challenge to the forecast is pinpointing the arrival and departure of the morning fog. This morning, the fog and low clouds hung on for a few hours longer than anticipated. It appears that we will be set up for another round of fog and low clouds tomorrow morning, and I will forecast the areas of fog to last for an hour or two after sunrise on Thursday. Once the sun comes out tomorrow it looks like another great day. Low temperatures will be in the mid and upper 50's with highs in the lower 80's on Thursday afternoon.

The extended forecast for the weekend still looks pretty good. But it is beginning to look like there could be a more noticeable amount of clouds this weekend. So far, the forecast for showers this weekend is still very low. but that could change over the next few days. Be sure to check back for updates about the weekend weather. In the meantime - enjoy more nice weather tomorrow.

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.
