FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

WARM WEEKEND AHEAD

It was a sun-filled and warm Friday across Southwest Florida, with highs climbing into the mid 80s. Quiet weather is expected this evening, with temps falling into the 70s. Some low clouds and fog may develop overnight, with lows in the mid 60s.

The warm weather continues to start the weekend. More moisture will enter the region, bringing partly cloudy skies. A few isolated rain showers will be possible, but most areas will likely stay dry. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid 80s.

The warmth continues into Sunday. We'll see plenty of sun to close the weekend, with highs in the mid 80s.

Some unsettled weather is expected to start the work week. A storm system will move into the area on Monday, bringing clouds and a better chance of scattered showers. The best chance for rain looks to be later in the day with highs in the low 80s.

Mostly cloudy skies will prevail on Tuesday, with scattered showers in the morning time frame. Highs on Tuesday will only be in the low 80s.

Dry weather returns midweek, with highs on Wednesday in the upper 70s.
