GOOD MORNING-2 SHOT PUSH, WX ANIBOX

GOOD MORNING --

I'M CHRISTY ANDREWS.

AND I'M RICK RITTER.

THANKS FOR JOINING US.

WE'RE SEEING SOME PATCHY FOG AGAIN -- AROUND SOUTHWEST FLORIDA.

METEOROLOGIST JASON DUNNING HAS ALL THE DETAILS!

JASON -- WILL THE FOG CAUSE ANY ISSUES THIS MORNING? Return to index of stories...

6:02 FIRST ALERT FORECAST ON THE 2'S-WX WALL

After another round of fog and low clouds in spots this morning, we're in store for another relatively sunny day as clouds mix in with sunshine through the afternoon.

Today will likely be a touch warmer than Saturday with more places getting up to the 85-87 degree range, except for our coastal communities where the sea breeze should cap off temps in the low 80s.

Today should end up being another mainly dry day, but as we head into the evening and overnight period, clouds will start increasing from the west as moisture flows in ahead of our next cool front.

A few showers and storms could build in as early as Monday afternoon, and our forecast looks to stay unsettled through the first half of Tuesday.

A decent late-season cool down is on the way by mid week with overnight lows dropping into the 50s Wednesday and Thursday morning; daytime temps will be coolest Wednesday afternoon with temperatures only peaking in the mid 70s.

Moisture will creep back into the picture toward the end of the week, bringing rain and even some thunderstorms to our forecast by the Thursday/Friday time frame.

At this point, it's looking like the rain will clear out by the upcoming weekend, leaving us with partly cloud and warm weather with highs back in the mid 80s.

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA. Return to index of stories...

6:32 FIRST ALERT FORECAST ON THE 2'S-WX WALL
