"An unsettled weather pattern"

After a nice weekend with warm sunshine and mainly dry weather, our pattern will turn a bit unsettled as we head into the upcoming week. First, we have to get through some rain and a few storms, before cooler and drier air briefly settles in.

For the rest of the afternoon we'll continue to see steady rains moving in from the Gulf of Mexico. Due to the mostly cloudy to overcast sky conditions, temperatures remained in the upper 60s to lower half of the 70s areas wide. As we head into the evening hours, expect mostly cloudy skies and increasing rain chances. Scattered rain and even a few isolated storms will move across the area as our next weather system approaches. Temperatures will settle into the middle to upper 60s by morning.

Showers will linger through the pre dawn hours on Tuesday and so will the clouds. Once the cold front passes through, winds will turn more northerly allowing cooler and drier air to spill down the state. Daytime highs will remain unseasonably cool in the middle to upper 70s, while overnight lows dip into the lower to middle 50s by early Wednesday morning.

Wednesday will feature more sunshine, along with a nice northeasterly breeze coupled with lower humidity. Afternoon temperatures will climb into the upper 70s. Moisture will begin to move back in across the area late in the week, with scattered showers back in the forecast by the weekend. Return to index of stories...

PRESIDENT OBAMA IS ATTENDING THE NUCLEAR SECURITY SUMMIT AND MEET WITH G-7 LEADERS IN THE NETHERLANDS.

BUT ALL EYES ARE ON THE UNITED STATES' RESPONSE TO RUSSIA AND ITS INVASION OF UKRAINE.

NBC'S CHUCK TODD IS TRAVELING WITH THE PRESIDENT. Return to index of stories...

OBAMA UKRAINE-PKG

The President has wrapped up with the nuclear security summit and is now focused on a meeting of the old G7 western economic powers.

Of course, this had been the G8 for the last 16 years but Russia has essentially been suspended or kicked out.

They were supposed to be the host of this year's meeting that was going to take place in Sochi.

ON CAM:

But that of course has already been canceled and all seven nations said they would not participate.

The question is whether they'll be a more formal suspension or kicking out of Russia as part of this punishment and attempt at isolating Russia internationally for its moves in Ukraine and Crimea.

TAPE:

But the other part of this meeting that's important for the President has to do with unifying Europe in getting them to agree to the tough economic sanctions that the United States would like to impose on Russia.

The President signed a couple of different executive orders on these sanctions last week, one targeted individuals.

That's been easy to get Europe on board with.

ON CAM:

The harder part is the idea of targeting sectors of the Russian economy.

The European economy very intertwined with Russia and the president would like to get tougher, perhaps in the energy sector of Russia, targeting them.

Will the Europeans go along?

That's the harder discussion and the harder diplomacy the President is trying to accomplish.

Traveling with the President in the Netherlands, Chuck Todd, NBC News. Return to index of stories...

GADGET HOARDING-PKG

"Don't think for a minute, you're the only one who can't let go of old gadgets. A recent survey by u-sell-dot-com found 68 percent of us suffer from 'compulsive gadget hoarding'"

WHICH IS WHY SPRING CLEANING THIS YEAR MIGHT NEED TO INCLUDE ELIMINATING GADGET CLUTTER. AND CONSIDER, FOR EXAMPLE, MAKING MONEY SELLING IT ONLINE.

"Ebay is one of them. Amazon actually has a way to do this, and Craigslist. These are all sites where you can go to to sell all of your junk in one place"

IF OFFERING ONLINE, MAKE SURE YOU BUILD IN EXPENSES.LIKE 3RD PARTY FEES. OR SHIPPING COSTS. INTO YOUR SELLING PRICE.

BUT DEFINITELY SELLING IS BETTER THAN JUST SITTING.

"Chances are it could be something that you can cash in on and make some extra dough as you roll into a new season"

ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE IS TO CHECK WITH RETAILERS. LIKE STAPLES.WHO NOW OFFER STORE CREDIT.

"so you can bring in any of your old devices and we can get a quote for you on how much money we can give you"

OR.WALMART.WHERE THERE'S A NEW TRADE-IN PROGRAM FOR VIDEO GAMES.

"What the retailers are really accomplishing is making sure the next item you buy is from them"

THERE ARE ALSO SITES LIKE GAZELLE. OR uSell WHO ONLY WANT TO BUY YOUR OLD STUFF.THEN SELL IT OVERSEAS WHERE IT BECOMES NEW AGAIN.

AS FAR AS GENE WILSON KNEW, HIS NIGHTLY TRIPS TO THE BATHROOM WERE A NATURAL PART OF LIFE.

GENE WILSON/BPH PATIENT

RUNS:

5:09 I kept telling them the old people, everybody I know they get up three-four times a night.

COMMON YES, NORMAL NO. BY THE TIME THEY HIT THEIR 60s, MORE THAN HALF OF MEN EXPERIENCE URINARY PROBLEMS DUE TO AN OVERGROWN PROSTATE. THE CLINICAL NAME IS BPH- IT'S A NON-CANCEROUS ENLARGEMENT OF THE PROSTATE THAT CAN BLOCK THE FLOW OF URINE.

DR. BLAKE EVANS/UROLOGIST

RUNS:

2:54: The most commonly described symptoms are frequency, going to the bathroom a lot. Waking up at night to go. Not being able to empty your bladder completely. Sometimes some urgency to get to the bathroom.

GENE'S 'GOING' PROBLEM REVEALED ITSELF IN THE HOSPITAL FOLLOWING SPINE SURGERY. HE WASN'T VOIDING PROPERLY SO DOCTORS INSERTED A CATHETER.

DR. BLAKE EVANS/UROLOGIST

RUNS:

5:45 Most patients don't know what a "normal" patients void is like, so they think they're normal until they run into a problem like not being able to go at all.

GENE & AMY 2-SHOT

RUNS:

:05 I thought I was doing pretty well, they checked the bladder and they found out I had 500 cc's left. It was still full.

AMY OSHIER/REPORTING

RUNS:

Doctors can peer into the bladder using an ultrasound to see how much urine is left behind. When the bladder doesn't empty properly, it increases the risk of urinary infections. So patients may be put on a catheter while doctors treat the condition.

DR. BLAKE EVANS/UROLOGIST

RUNS:

4:10 The medications we normally start are called alpha blockers and they help to relax the urinary sphincters so that when the bladder contracts you're able to empty your bladder more completely. If medications don't work for them and they're still symptomatic then we can move to more invasive therapies.

INCLUDING LASER TREATMENT OR SURGERY TO WIDEN THE URETHRA OR RESECTION THE PROSTATE. TREATMENTS GENE WAS ABLE TO AVOID.

GENE WILSON/BPH PATIENT

RUNS:

4:30 All in all, mine was very simple and we didn't have to do anything drastic.

WITH THE USE OF MEDICATION, GENE'S 'GOING' PROBLEM- IS GONE. FOR LEE MEMORIAL HEALTH SYSTEM, I'M AMY OSHIER. Return to index of stories...

FORECAST OPEN Return to index of stories...

FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

BUSH AND CLINTON-VO IN PLASMA

TODAY FORMER FLORIDA GOVERNOR JEB BUSH AND FORMER SECRETARY OF STATE HILLARY CLINTON SHARED THE SPOTLIGHT AT AN EDUCATION CONFERENCE IN TEXAS.

MANY ANALYSTS ARE SPECULATING THAT IT COULD IT BE A PREVIEW OF A BUSH-CLINTON PRESIDENTIAL RACE IN 2016.

NBC'S CHUCK TODD GIVES US SOME INSIGHT. Return to index of stories...

BUSH AND CLINTON-PKG

NATSOT BUSH/CLINTON

Two political powerhouses sharing the spotlight today -- could be presidential rivals in 2016.

Democrats seem comfortable with the idea of a coronation of Hillary Clinton -- many of them are almost begging her to run.

And now some longtime Republicans -- nervous about the influence of the Tea Party -- would like to see a coronation of one of their own: former Florida governor Jeb Bush.

Bush has joked about a matchup with Clinton before:

SOT:

HILLARY AND I COME FROM DIFFERENT POLITICAL PARTIES AND WE DISAGREE ABOUT A FEW THINGS BUT WE DO AGREE ON THE WISDOM OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ESPECIALLY THOSE IN IOWA, AND NEW HAMPSHIRE AND SOUTH CAROLINA.

For the first time in his career, Bush seems truly open to a run -- at times, more forthcoming about his interest than Hillary Clinton, who continues to remain coy about her plans.

SOT:

Q: IF YOU DON'T REPRESENT WOMEN IN POLITICS IN AMERICA AS FUTURE PRESIDENT, WHO WILL? 1/8CHEERS 3/8

/FLASH/

HILLARY: I APPRECIATE THE SENTIMENT. /FLASH/pi LET ME SAY THIS-- GIVE ME YOUR NAME AND NUMBER. 1/8LAUGHS 3/8

Bush has been more direct, promising to make a final decision by the end of this year:

SOT:

THE DECISION WILL BE BASED ON, CAN I DO IT JOYFULLY - BECAUSE I THINK WE NEED TO HAVE CANDIDATES LIFT OUR SPIRITS.

STANDUP BRIDGE:

THIS RENEWED INTEREST IN JEB BUSH FROM KEY REPUBLICANS COMES JUST AS THE EARLY ESTABLISHMENT 2016 FAVORITE -- NEW JERSEY GOVERNOR CHRIS CHRISTIE -- HAS BEEN BADLY DAMAGED BY THAT GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE SCANDAL. LEAVING JEB BUSH AS THE PARTY'S LEADING STATESMEN.

Bush's aides caution against reading too much into his current schedule -- arguing he'd be helping Republicans regardless of his 2016 plans.

And Bush has family matters to consider. His own mother has said she doesn't want him to run, as she told Matt on TODAY:

SOT:

THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO ARE LIFIED AND WE'VE HAD ENOUGH BUSHush is trying to make light of his mom's osition:

SOT:

ON: SO GOVERNOR, LAST QUEF - CONDITIONAL OU WERE OR PRESIDENT - WOULD YOU GET YOUR MOTHE?

BUSH: SO - UH YES I WOULD.

If Bush does go head to heth Clinton, recent polls se'd face an uphi

Still, the bigger hurdleBush is the Republican pauntlet:e longtime conservative from Fe viewed as conservativefor the can party of 2016?

IT WAS A NORMAL DAY AT THE BEACH FOR KITE SURFER KURT HOFFMAN, WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, HE SAYS HIS ARM FELT LIKE IT GOT CAUGHT IN A BEAR TRAP.

"Started to go down the face of the wave and wham."

A SHARK BIT DOWN ON HOFFMAN'S FOREARM AS HE WAS DRAGGING IT IN THE WATER AT DELRAY BEACH.

"You can see the teeth marks and around, it's about 7 inches wide, the width of the mouth and it's pretty intense cause it kind of shocks your system at the moment when it hits."

HOFFMAN CALLED HIS WIFE, DIANE, TO TAKE HIM TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM.

DOCTORS LEFT THE WOUNDS OPEN TO SEEP BECAUSE OF THE BACTERIA SHARKS CARRY IN THEIR MOUTHS.

LUCKY FOR HIM, THE SHARK BIT AND LET GO, CAUSING MORE THAN A DOZEN PUNCTURE WOUNDS, BUT HE SAID, IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE.
