FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

WARMER TOMORROW

Clear skies and chilly temperatures are on the way tonight. Winds will continue from the northeast at 10 - 15 this evening and as temperatures drop to the lower 50's tonight, it will be another evening for a sweater or light jacket. Thursday's weather looks fine and we expect mostly sunny skies all day. Winds will gradually turn around to a more southeasterly direction and that should help us warm up to 80 degrees in the afternoon. It looks like it will not be quite as windy tomorrow; however, wind speeds will be around 10 - 15 and a little gusty during the day.

As we continue to look at a changing weekend forecast, it still looks like we will be tracking rain showers as soon as Friday evening. Skies will cloud-up during the day on Friday and showers will move in before sunset. The unsettled weather will bring showers on Saturday and, possibly, again on Sunday morning. Some of the latest computer guidance suggests that the rain may taper off by Sunday afternoon.so it's possible that the end of the weekend might turn out to be rain-free. FROM THE CLASSROOM -- TO THE COURTROOM!

THIRTEEN YEAR OLD JAEDE JOHNS IN TROUBLE FOR ALLEGEDLY STEALING HER SEVENTH GRADE TEACHER'S CELL PHONE.

"It could have been resolved at school instead of having to come so far."

BUT THE SEVENTH GRADER'S TEACHER SAYS SHE WAS FED UP -- AFTER TAKING SEVEN OF HER STUDENTS CELL PHONES IN JUST THREE MONTHS LAST SCHOOL YEAR AT CRESTWOOD MIDDLE. SHE SAYS STUDENTS WERE CONSTANTLY TALKING AND TEXTING IN CLASS!

"I would put it in an envelope, time date it, and seal it so there was no question how I handled the matter."

THEN TEACHER JANINE ALEXANDER SAYS HER CELL PHONE WAS STOLEN OFF HER DESK IN HER CLASSROOM. SHE WENT TO THE SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER.

"They tried to dissuade me from prosecuting. From taking this case any further."

JANINE SAYS HER FELLOW TEACHERS WARNED HER TO DROP IT.

"A lot of them complain about it but what I was hearing was just don't rock the boat."

JANINE SAYS SHE GOT THIS NOTE ONE DAY AFTER FILING THE POLICE REPORT.

"Janine says she sat down in the principals office and that is when she was told she was terminated. She asked why -- but they wouldn't tell her."

IT SAYS RIGHT ON HER TERMINATION LETTER: "PROBATIONARY CONTRACT EMPLOYEES MAY BE DISMISSED WITHOUT CAUSE."

JANINE THINKS THE SUDDEN TERMINATION IS BECAUSE OF THE WAY SHE HANDLED HER CELL PHONE THEFT.

"Do you think she should have been fired? Absolutely not!"

JANINE IS A VETERAN TEACHER IN OTHER DISTRICTS WITH A MASTER DEGREE -- NOW JOBLESS.
