FIRST WEATHER-WX CENTER

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

After what ended up being a pretty stormy Thursday afternoon, we'll see the potential for more unsettled weather today as a cool front heads our way from the Gulf of Mexico.

The showers and storms probably won't arrive until this evening and tonight, so most of our Friday should actually be dry.

One change we'll notice through the day is more cloud cover streaming in ahead of the front, which will make for a pretty cloudy day across Southwest Florida.

Despite the extra clouds, it'll still be quite warm today with temperatures peaking in the mid 80s this afternoon.

A strengthening southerly wind will also keep the air feeling quite humid and tropical; winds will stay between 10-15 mph through the day with some higher gusts above 20 mph.

The main window for rain will be from sunset tonight through the early morning hours on Saturday, and depending on how well the storms can hold together before arriving in Southwest Florida, a few of the storms could be strong with highs winds and heavy rain.

After the rain pushes out Saturday morning, we're in store for improving weather for Easter weekend! Expect a slight cool down along with a nice dip in humidity with highs only in the low to mid 80s.

Sunday will end up being the sunnier day since clouds will probably linger a while through our Saturday.

If you're planning to attend an Easter Sunrise Service, you might actually end up needing a light jacket as temperatures drop close to the upper 50s by early Sunday morning.

As we head into the next week, our weather stay quiet, warm and sunny with highs returning to the mid to upper 80s. Return to index of stories...

YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO HELP POLICE AND EARN SOME MONEY IN THE PROCESS.

TRISH ROUTTE WITH SOUTHWEST FLORIDA CRIME STOPPERS IS HERE WITH A NEW LIST OF BAD PEOPLE. Return to index of stories...

FUGITIVE FRIDAY-5 SS

We're starting off our list this Good Friday with Fred Herman Jones, wanted

for violating terms of his probation on charges of obtaining property by fraud

and failing to appear for a felony offense. Jones is a former financial and

management consultant, who apparently parlayed those skills into a career of

scamming people out of their hard earned money. His MO is typically financially-

based, at one point defrauding a victim of nearly $50,000. He's also been

arrested for passing bad checks, grand theft, as well as forgery and several

times where he just neglected to show up for court dates. Deputies think Jones

is still in the area, laying low in either Collier or Lee County - and most likely on

someone else's dime.

And next up is Joseph Kimbrough, a 21 time repeat offender who thought it'd

be OK to just walk into a Fort Myers pawn shop earlier this week, pick himself

out a $500 digital camera and walk right out the door without ever paying for it.

Kimbrough is obviously no stranger to law enforcement, having spent quite a

bit of quality time inside the confines of the Lee County Jail. In addition to the

theft charge, this 33 year old fugitive also has another active warrant for violating

his probation on the heels of a burglary arrest. Over the years, Kimbrough

has found himself locked up for multiple counts of grand theft, dealing in stolen

property, DUI, fraud, resisting arrest and contributing to the delinquency of a

minor, among others. He is a criminal registrant who was last known to be living

in Cape Coral. He is 5'7", has tattoos covering most of his body and goes by the

alias of "Sea Monkey."

Also on the run this week is a man who spent eight long months in jail, then

decided to violate terms of his probation which is now going to land him right

back to some familiar surroundings. Lawrence Monfort was initially arrested for

drug charges, followed up by a DUI, and then a late 2012 arrest for two counts of

aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, resisting, fleeing and eluding officers,

carrying a concealed weapon and armed robbery. When his court ordered

sentence was over, Monfort was released on certain conditions, which he has

since failed to adhere to. He is 6'2", 191 pounds and was last known to be living

in east Lee County.

And rounding out our list this week is James Lee Nestra, who's been featured

here on Fugitive Friday a time or two over the last few years. This 33 year old

fugitive spent seven months behind bars last year after a violent attack at a North

Fort Myers motel. Witnesses say Nestra threw a beer bottle at the victim, then

jumped on him and brutally attacked the man to the point of unconsciousness

- hitting him in the back of the head, and tying him up with a phone cord in

the bathroom. When police arrived, they found the victim with multiple serious

injuries, including broken bones and teeth, requiring lengthy hospitalization.

After the beating, Nestra took the victim's wallet and withdrew all his money

from a nearby ATM. When he was released from jail on those charges, he was

placed on probation and now, he's violated those terms. Nestra is definitely

no stranger to the law, with 16 priors under his belt already, including multiple

counts of burglary, DUI, battery and grand theft. He was last known to be living

in downtown Fort Myers and upon his arrest, he will be held without bond. Return to index of stories...

UKRAINE LATEST-TRX PKG

Well the day after agreement on the de-escalation of conflict reached in Geneva. there's certainly no sign of retreat on the ground.

The pro-Russian separatists here in eastern Ukraine say they distrust the government in Kiev too much to surrender their weapons

and risk arrest.

Meanwhile following those reports that Jews were being ordered here in Donetsk or lose their citizenship, some troubled members of the Jewish community told us this morning a group of about 100 of them were just outside the synagogue after pre-Passover prayers two nights ago when they noticed three men, they were masked, they were carrying backpacks and they started to hand out leaflets and then they fled the scene quite quickly.

The Chief rabbi told me that when he read the letter it was shock.

"I can't understand it. This is not a fact that someone could understand it. I can't understand and I'll never understand it.

He knew it wasn't a joke, he said, because it looked too official, but to test the letter's authenticity they sent a Jewish family to the address on the leaflet as if to register themselves.

Maceda: "Have you gotten any sense at all that the registration of jews is happening or is going to happen? or was this a hoax or provocation?"

"of course a provocation. it doesn't happening."

ON CAM:

In other words a pretty crazy attempt to either discredit the pro-Russian separatists or the government in Kiev with the Jews, once again, caught in the middle.

BUT IT IS. REPUBLICANS INSIST THE PRESIDENT'S NOT TELLING THE WHOLE STORY:

THEY SAY JUST WAIT TILL AMERICANS FIND OUT WHICH DOCTORS AND PROCEDURES THEIR PLANS DON'T COVER.

TAXES ARE COMING UP FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T SIGN UP.

PLUS REPUBLICANS INSIST PREMIUMS COULD INCREASE JUST-IN-TIME FOR THE FALL ELECTIONS.

"There are whole lot of pieces that have yet to play out here so I think of this bottle popping and cork smiling is a just little bit premature."

TOP REPUBLICANS ON CAPITOL HILL STAYED OFF CAMERA.

A SPOKESMAN FOR HOUSE SPEAKER JOHN BOEHNER SAID THEY'RE STILL LOOKING FOR A WAY TO REPLACE IT.

"A January survey found that eighteen percent of adult internet users now say that they've had some kind of important personal information stolen as a result of their online activities"

SECURITY EXPERTS SAY THE HEARTBLEED BUG COULD MAKE MATTERS WORSE. ESPECIALLY FOR USERS WHO STICK WITH THE SAME PASSWORD FOR MULTIPLE WEBSITES.

"So that site they're using for their mail account or their social media, in most cases, the same password they're using for their bank"

SO, THEY SAY, IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY. CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS.AND USE A DIFFERENT ONE FOR DIFFERENT SITES.

.BECAUSE HEARTBLEED IS A HUGE BUG.

OF THE ONE BILLION SMARTPHONES SHIPPED LAST YEAR ALONE.MANY, IF NOT MOST, ARE VULNERABLE TO HEARTBLEED.

HOWEVER, EVEN SOFTWARE SECURITY COMPANIES ADMIT WE MAY BE IN THE FINAL DAYS OF. USER NAMES AND PASSWORDS. TO BE REPLACED BY BIO METRICS.

"You'll be able to use things like your voice, your face, very natural things to access those sites and services to do those things you want to do"

WITH THE ONLINE SERVICES INDUSTRY NOW LOSING ABOUT 200 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR TO PASSWORD BREACHES.

FIRST ALERT FORECAST-WXWALL
