6:02 FIRST ALERT FORECAST ON THE 2'S-WX WALL

We've got some more great weather in the works across Southwest Florida for Easter Sunday.

After a slightly cooler start to the morning with temperatures in the low 60s, we'll warm up nicely through the morning and into the afternoon with daytime highs reaching the low 80s.

With a relatively dry air mass in place, humidity levels will stay nice and comfortable.

Winds will be a bit weaker today, but it'll still be a little breezy as winds come in from the northwest at 5-15 mph.

Rain chances stay very low through the day, but it's not out of the question to see a couple of passing sprinkles, especially closer to the coast.

Expect a blend of sun and clouds with more clouds than sunshine at times.

Temperatures won't be quite as cool overnight with lows dropping into the mid 60s for most of Southwest Florida by early Monday morning.

As we head into next week, our weather goes into cruise control with sunshine at the wheel; highs will be in the mid to upper 80s, and rain chances will stay very low for most of the week.

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA. Return to index of stories...

WITH GASHES IN HER LEGS AND SCRAPES ON HER HANDS AND FACE, KRISTEE BARRES RELIVES THE HORRIFIC DAY WHEN HER NEIGHBOR DROVE OVER HER WITH HIS CAR.

SOT -KRISTEE BARRES

I hope to heck they leave him where he needs to be because what is it going to take for somebody to be dead?

BARRES WAS RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL ON SATURDAY.

SHE STRUGGLES TO STAND---AND SAYS SHE CAN'T SEE OUT OF HER RIGHT EYE.

SOT-REACTION

I can't see out of it. I open my eye as big as I can and there's nothing. I hope I can see again because I have a three year old to take care of and teach him his abc's.

SHE ASKED US NOT TO SHOW HER FACE - AFRAID OF RETALLATION - AFTER A HORRIFIC ORDEAL.

ON FRIDAY BARRES SAYS SHE AND HER MOTHER IN LAW-- LORAINE MCDANIEL WERE AT THIS GAS STATION ON KINGSTON DRIVE WHEN THEY SAW-- 28 YEAR OLD ERIC MONTEZ GET OUT OF HIS CAR AND ATTACK A JOGGER.

Sot

He just blindsighted him and started beating him in the face and I just came in between and said no you aren't/

BARRES SAYS MONTEZ GOT BACK IN HIS CAR AND RAN HER OVER.

HE THEN PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE AND BACKED OVER MCDANIEL AND THEN DROVE OVER HER BODY, BEFORE HITTING BARRES A SECOND TIME.

BARRES SAYS HER TWO CHILDREN WATCHED THE WHOLE THING IN HORROR.

SOT-It's like a big old dream. it all happened so fast. I just wanted to make sure he got on his way but it just escalated and he just snapped and kind of went crazy and his intention was to kill me.

MONTEZ LEFT THE SCENE WITH HIS 7 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN THE CAR.

HE CAME BACK SHORTLY AFTER AND WAS ARRESTED.

Sot-glenn barres

I can't understand how someone could be so calos especially to two women.

WHILE THESE WOUNDS, WILL FOREVER BE A REMINDER OF THAT TERRIFYING DAY, BARRESS SAYS, SHE WOULDN'T CHANGE WHAT SHE DID.

SOT-SOT-I'd do it all over again, for anybody. I was raised to do the right thing. Return to index of stories...

PERTH, Australia - A robotic submarine looking for the missing Malaysia Airlines jet is expected to finish searching a patch of the Indian Ocean seabed within a week after so far coming up empty. Officials say the search area may be expanded after that.

A new day of searching has begun.

The U.S. Navy's Bluefin 21 unmanned sub is on its eighth trip into the depths off the coast of western Australia. It's already covered around 51 square miles since it began diving into the depths on Monday. The latest data are being analyzed, but nothing has yet been identified.

Malaysia's defense minister says the weekend search is crucial.

Up to 11 aircraft and 12 ships continue to scan the ocean surface for debris from the Boeing 777 that disappeared March 8 en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 people on board.

6:42 FIRST ALERT FORECAST ON THE 2'S-WX WALL

""

It's the FBI's latest tool in its effort to crack down on spies.

Not a Hollywood thriller, featuring Jason Bourne.

"One way or another, you're going to play ball with us."

. but a highly-produced, half-hour video -- released this week -- reenacting the story of Glenn Duffie Shriver, a former college student from Michigan.

In 2011, Shriver was sentenced to FOUR years in federal prison for attempting to give government secrets to Chinese intelligence officers.

. who wooed him with seemingly harmless jobs while he was studying abroad in Shanghai.

*****

Seventy-thousand dollars later, they encouraged him to apply for work at the CIA.

The real-life Shriver offers this caution

"Don't fool yourself. The recruitment is active and the target is young people -- throw lots of money at them and see what happens."

More than 280-thousand American students study abroad each year.

The FBI warns they are "tempting and vulnerable targets" of foreign spy agencies.

A former U-S counterintelligence official says the Chinese government targets dozens of American students each year. slowly luring them in with cash and gifts.

BRENNER: "Eventually, they've got you over a barrel because you've been strung along little by little! At that point they levy some much more severe demands on you that are hard to resist. "

PETER: "The hook's in?"

BRENNER: "The hook's in."

"Why college students? Because today's student is tomorrow's government official or business executive. and, intelligence experts say, foreign spy agencies anticipate their investment will pay off years down the road.

The Bureau won't say how much the video cost to produce -- but one former intelligence official insists its far cheaper that the consequences of that one naive student who takes the bait.
