5:00 WEATHER LEAD-WX WALL

Today's Weather Story

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE NBC2 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

STAYING WARM AND MAINLY SUNNY

It is another mild morning with temperatures in the 60s across Southwest Florida. Skies are mainly clear this this morning with some patchy fog developing. Through the day, we'll see mostly sunny skies and temperatures will reach into the low to mid 80s.

A weak cold front will be moving down the peninsula, but will fizzle out tomorrow before moving into our area. It will be close enough that we could get a few more clouds and possibly even a stray shower tomorrow. That stray chance would mainly be aimed toward the inland areas.

For the end of the week, through the weekend and into next week, we'll continue with the mix of sun and clouds and temperatures continuing the warming trend. We'll be into the upper 80s this weekend. In the long range, our next rain chance arrives a week from today. Return to index of stories...

5:30 WEATHER LEAD-WX WALL
